I gave CEE in 2009 which was for admission Delhi college of engineering and NSIT. However that was the last year and since then admissions to NSIT are through AIEEE/IIT-JEE. I got 74 rank in CEE and i had the option to take any course but i went for ECE because of inclination and good faculty. Also it was nearer to my place.

The course curriculum is unfortunately outdated and there is not much choice in electives. In ECE digital signal processing was mandatory even though an elective.

A lot of companies like Delloite, royal bank of scotland, Microsoft, Qualcomm etc. Came to our college for internships with an average stipend of 20k to 30k.

NsIT is famous for its placement statistics. It has an impeccable record of almost 100% placement. All good companies from facebook, Google, Microsoft, Delloite, adobe to tcs, infosys, hcl, cognizant etc come to our caps so that students of all academic strengths can get a suitable job. Package offered by Most of the technical companies are upward of 10lakh per annum.

There is a technical fest called innovision and a cultural frst called moksha. Though not as big as some other tests of engineering colleges, renowned celebrities do come. The fashion and dance competition are worth participating.

Being a govt college, the fee is afordable. It is around 80k a year. Mess and hostel fee is around 20k. 5000 rs is taken as safety deposit which is returned after completion of degree.

Based on your marks in each year, a merit list is prepared. Top 25% get 7500 each year. The list is created branch wise.

Recently an alumnus network has been created. Seniors from NsIT can be found in every company that visits our caps and they help by hiding us about what to do and what not to. Even those who have gone for MBA or civil Services are ready to approach via facebook or linkedin.

Exams and labs are not at all hectic. One mid sems and one end sems. Practical exams happen only one a semester.

The faculty is really good. If one wants to pursue projects under the faculty, the are a lot of good opportunities. Research papers and technical projects of good quality could be done. They are approachable.
