Saakshi Roy's Review On Sri Venkateswara College - Delhi, New Delhi

This college has a good reputation for the history department and ranks in the top 10 colleges of Delhi University College. This college is also nearer to my house which gives me an opportunity to get back home early and do engage myself in other activities rather than just attending college. I had a choice between studying philosophy or history so as a result, I went with history for the main reason of appearing for the civil services.

Our course syllabus was recently updated which put the core papers of the same time together in one semester. I feel that my college has various opportunities for industrial exposure, in fact, the whole of Delhi University College keeps on holding guest lectures and many co-curricular programs which helps the student to develop in various other fields. The faculty of history in Venky is decent.

The placement offers for the students of economics and statistics honors are much better than other courses after simple graduation from Delhi University College. Every year there are hundreds of students who appear for the interviews in various fields and the highest placement offer stands at 13-14 lacks

The festivals are pretty big with a decent amount of participation from the students of all other colleges. The security is well intact and not everyone can enter without a pass which is also limited according to the number of people who can fit inside the college

The campus infrastructure is well maintained in terms of greenery. But lacks sufficient sports facilities. The wifi is not available throughout college and the library is well supplied with books and other novels
