Remarks

If your aim is to learn, RD National College should be your go-to choice without a doubt. You will meet amazing people here and undoubtedly the best teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is the one provided by the Mumbai University and it covers a great deal of areas. However, I found that the teachers opt for the simple options and leave out the other ones, since in exams you get a choice between the questions. The curriculum is research driven. When it comes to exams, you are alloted a centre where you'd have to go to take the exam. You can score a good number if you prepare for the exams well.

Placement Experience

4

For my course, there is no placement facility. And so, I wouldn't be able to tell about it. However, for technical courses, I have heard that some good companies come in for placement of the students.

College Events

4

The college holds intra-cultural and inter-cultural fests every now and then. However, they make sure that the crowd and noise does not hamper the classes going on. You will get to witness stalls put up by the students as well as big brands coming in and putting their stalls at these fests. These fests are also a great way to interact with new students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very low here. The college accepts only DD as their mode of payment. However, you will have to pay thousand rupees twice in the year as the examination fees. Other than that, no other fees is taken by the college. You will also be given a thorough breakdown of the fees that you pay.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship programme of education loan. The fees of the whole year is as low as ?9,000. I was able to pay the entire fees by my own earnings and thus, it was not a pain.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is as vivid as it gets. The students are very lively. The gender ratio gaps depends on the course you take, but when it comes to the college, there seems to be an equal gap. You will get to see students from various ethnicity and religions, and the college respects them all and treat everyone equally. The students come from middle class to upper class economic background. You will even see students from different states which will give you an experience of their culture, as well.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college does not has any hostel of its own. You will have to find a place to live on your own. Now that is something which could be troublesome if you are not from Mumbai. However, if you are willing to pay a lot, you can get a decent place to live in the vicinity of the college itself, or else you will have to find a place away from the college and travel via local train everyday, like most students do

Alumni/Alumna

The college during my time hosted an alumni meet when the college completed 98 years of its establishment, wherein we got to meet the alumni of the college. It was obviously lovely meeting them and getting to know their experiences of their time at the college.

Admission

For my post graduation, I was looking for a college that would put in as many efforts as I'd do in my learning. It was when someone recommended me RD National College, I went there and filled the form without knowing much about it. I loved how simple the admission process was. However, once I got selected, I had to go through the pain of standing in a line for half an hour to submit my documents, but that is something that every college makes you go through, so I was okay with it. The teaching staff is so coordinating that once all the documentation was done, I was added to a WhatsApp group where the details of our classes was given.

Faculty

5

Through other reviews on Google, I had read that the college stands out for its teaching faculty. And I experienced it first hand when I attended the first class of my session. The teachers at RD National College do and excellent work with their task. The college hires different faculty for different topics, which shows how dedicated the college is to provide us with the best. We have experienced guest lectures teaching us every day. We usually had lectures from 8 in the morning to 12 in the noon, which left us with the entire day in our hands to study on our own. The teaching staff is very helpful when it comes to helping you. You can reach out to them at anytime of the day and they assist you gladly.

What i liked about the college that it has a good infrastructure. Good sanitation facilities, drinking water facilities, Air conditioned rooms, vast library. The things i dint like was the instability in the timings of college. And the portion is alwasy completed at the last moment. Also there are no proper information provided for extra curricular activities.
