Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum has technical subjects Which makes one to become familiar with the technical and practical aspects of the course. There will also be industrial visit which is compulsory in all the course, which emphasized the idea about how the engineering principles are adopted over there. And it also enhances our technical exposure and there by pratical knowledge,

Our college provides good incampus placements opportunities but no internships. The companies that visit our college for recruitment are 1. VST Tillers 2. Jhondheere tractors 3. Sonalika tractors 4. Extracurricular labs for cultural activites and sports, debate etc. Which are well equipped with musical instruments required for cultural programmes and ground, gym for sports

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, I have opted for hostel. And the hostels have around 60 -70 rooms in each room 4 persons can be accommodated, and the rooms are with minimum cleanliness and our hostels have study bureau for study purposes and recreation room for cultural and other activities. the PG's average rent in our area is 5000 Rupees per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is useful both personally and professionally. They used to guide us about the various job opportunities available for our stream and also about the higher studies option. Having regular interaction with them helps us to know about the ongoing activities in the colleges and in the student association and other forthcoming activities that are going to be held in our college.

Admission

I got admission to this college through entrance exam (KCET). The reason behind opting this course is as agriculture has better career options in the coming days so i opted for this. This college has very good infrastructure like well equipped labs and library and good teaching faculty, Which made me to opt for this college over other. The admission procedure is as follows. 1. When you get selected for this college (based on the merit obtained in the entrance exam) theough counselling. 2. We need to make payment to the the Karnataka examination authority by drawing a challan 3. Then with that payment receipt and along with the required documents visit the college to make the registration in college and to complete the admission.

Faculty

3.5

Around 35-40 lecturers are there out of which 5 Head of the department (HODs) rest around 5-7 lecturers in 5 departments and each lecturer with Ph.d and NET as their qualification Very few lecturers have a good command over the subject who will make the students to understand through their teaching. As per my knowing very few teacher hardly 3 or 4 has relevant industry experience.

Overall College experience in terms of facilities (lab, hostel, campus), faculty was good except for the fact that placement cell was not very good and effective. Most of the students had to look for jobs outside the campus and it was quite a challengingAware that college has improved placements over the years now.
