Remarks

Teachers are average and if you are ok to take some effort and serious about study join this college.

Entrance Preview

I took CET conducted by the government of karnataka. Now COMEDK is for outside karnataka students and CET for karnataka students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science and the subject includes. Data sturcture,OS,Networking,JAVA,C,C++,COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE etc. Electives are internet,micorprocessors,client and servers.

Placement Experience

Average some of the compies are tcs,infosys,mistral software and hcl. Apart from this college arranges for offcampus also. Campus is mainly for CSE,EC,Telcom and Electrical branch.

College Events

This area college has good score. Extra cirricular activies are a lot. Various events and techinal seminars will be there good chance to come out of shell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is bit on higher side. If you are a outside have to be on toes. But it is worth if you are getting at least good college 1.5 Lakh for outsider which changes every year.

Need to check with banks as college will help u as much as possible. Many students got loan from qualified bank.

Here college scores good neat clean and good rooms. Food is southindian in mess but includes dal and curd. Overall it is average and not bad for health.

Exam Structure

Good conducted by VTU. Overall labs are good and the well maintained. No compromise on quality. They support extra hours labs and really meant to learn.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Lower tier Engineering colleges

I had no idea about engineering , I scored very less in KCET surprisingly . I had no one for advice and people made it so obvious that engneering is the standard of education . I did not seek proper guidance and was mislead by admission sector people referring to Electronics as both software and hardware demanding sector and there is scope to grow .
