What Students Say
Likes
- One of the Major things about our college that is underappreciated is the lowkey Oldschool and Peaceful Environment of the Campus
- The Faculty pool of each branch in our college has an upperhand if it comes to the experience quotient they have, many have been teaching since years
Dislikes
- Very unrealistic expectations are fed while giving admission, the college barely gets quality placement opportunities
- New methods of teaching and adaptability is lacking. We are in such an unpredictable era of tech but our lecturers are failing to evolve
- The college equipments and lab facilities do not help you grow, very old , messy and under upgraded
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is oudated and very theoretical. No scope for learning or innovation. The real world applications are very and far and to cope up with this people often rely on courses outside the college The exams are easy to pass yet tricky and constantly changing schemes affect the clarity of important concepts too much of unnecessary subjects and programs hamper the core branch learning space and make one run behind marks
Fees and Financial Aid
1. Tution Fees per year = 1,65,000 Rs. This for 4 years of the course sums upto 6,66,000 Rs. 2. College Fees per year = 35,720 Rs. This for 4 years of the course along with additional 6000 Rs. during admission sums upto 1,48,880 Rs. 3. Examination Fees per year = 2590 Rs. Total = 8,62,740 Rs. For 4 years of Electronics and communication Engineeing Management seat . Scholorships like SSP have helped me the first 2 years with 18,000 Rs per year For KCET and COMEDK seats the total fee per year ranges from 1,10,000 to 1,70,000 respectively . The Fee for the current and successive batches are increasing exponentially now almost 2,50,000 Rs. for the same stream and category of student admission
Campus Life
JANVEY - Annual Cultural College Event Techzone - Technical comeptitions are held VTU sport selections Tech forge / Alpha Club / Designers Club are the student clubs. Libarary is decentbut only focused on technical topics and it is not much diverse . Accessibility to research papers and journals are great .
Admission
I had no idea about engineering , I scored very less in KCET surprisingly . I had no one for advice and people made it so obvious that engneering is the standard of education . I did not seek proper guidance and was mislead by admission sector people referring to Electronics as both software and hardware demanding sector and there is scope to grow . But in reality very less requirement ratio of electronics students exists. JNNCE was told to be better than any other engineering college near me due to it's longevity. But in real tier 2 and 3 city engineering always struggles no matter what
Faculty
The Best Faculties are Pradeep S C Ajay Betur Sathyanarayan V S There are around 3 internals for our batch 20 marks for each internal test making it 60 And the remaining 40 is for assignments/Quizes/Presentations/Class Tests according to respective lecturers convenience. For a total of 100 it'd be halfed to 50 and for that 50 marks 18 is the internal passing marks for one to be eligible to attent the main exams. Again the main exams are for 100 marks , which would be halfed to 50 where the passing marks is again 18 For failed subjects backlogs can be written in next sem for 300 and for reEvaluation 800 .
Night Life
There is nothing called "Night life" in tier 2 and tier 3 city colleges. Hanging out with friends are mostly kept for afternoons and evenings Canteen is a great spot but one canteen for such big number of students is quite a irritating space . There are many decent food joints outside the college which are real life savers when it comes to food . College Gym and Playing areas are only open after 3PM since students bunking to play is seen as a major concern
