Entrance Preview

Diploma in Mech Engineering. Passion about Mechanics and Engineering Design made me join Mechanical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

Very well structured across basics, advanced engineering, strength of materials and engineering design. Complete package of what is needed to make one a effective engineer.

Internships Opportunities

During our times there were no campus selection that was conducted. But I was fortunate enough to find placements in Bangalore as soon I finished engineering.

College Events

There were many events conducted every year in the college. I was a student leader and was involved in organizing many events along with my friends that made our student years very memorable.

Fees and Financial Aid

NA. did not avail any loan or scholarship during my studies. I am also not aware if there were any during those times.

Campus Life

Campus life as I saw and what I see today as well if fabulous. Best time in everyone life. Labs were good in our college. I played Cricket during my college days and was a captain representing our college in university games as well.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

Like companies like Amazon , Delloite , Indiamart,Cisco ,IBM, Mercedez benz R&d INDIA,Oracle , NVIDIA, Samsung,Tata, Wipro, currently in 2025 average package is of 11.9 LPA highest CTC is 71.94 LPA and median is 9.34 LPA currently 77,23% placed and remains ongoing Doing my masters in mechatronics or CSE from IITs or from Foreign univerisites

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well my subjects are right now, physics, pop(c), java,IME (introduction to mechanical engineering), mathamatics. Well curriculum is great as we got more programming languages and some of the moderate difficulty i would say. And also better exam conduction .

Lower tier Engineering colleges

I had no idea about engineering , I scored very less in KCET surprisingly . I had no one for advice and people made it so obvious that engneering is the standard of education . I did not seek proper guidance and was mislead by admission sector people referring to Electronics as both software and hardware demanding sector and there is scope to grow . But in reality very less requirement ratio of electronics students exists. JNNCE was told to be better than any other engineering college near me due to it's longevity.
