Remarks

Jadavpur University is the best college in all of Kolkata. With a NAAC accreditation better than half the IITs, and an international reputation as the highest research-producing college of India, Jadavpur University will soon become a global name

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very relevant to the field. It is updated frequently to keep including the newest developments into the syllabus. This keeps me in touch with the industry. The college assures cross branch application for studying various courses. Almost 70% of the students land a job and the highest packages range from 65 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience

The placement drive is great as many people land jobs here. One student can secure one job only, to make sure that everyone has a fair chance of securing jobs

College Events

Cultural events range from Indal, Ibtida to sanskriti. These fests see cross college participation from almost all well known colleges in west Bengal. With events ranging from face painting to fashion shows, these are he best in business. Techno fest is conducted by science club and FETSU, namely Srijan. This too sees huge participation. Management fests include hult prize, E-Weekend, e-summit, organized by entrepreneurship cell and see extensive participation and very famed delegates as judges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very affordable. One of the lowest in the country. No fine lines. The mode of payment is both online and offline. Semester examination fees are Rupees 90 only whereas tuition fee is Rs. 2400 per semester. Hostel fee is extremely low as well

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship exists for Students of Bengal Board. The scholarship is of ?60, 000 yearly. There's scholarships for the economically weak sections too

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 1:1. Campus Life is beautiful. It revolves around labs, fests, and classrooms. There's occasional student body meetings that add to the elegance of the university. There's evening addas in the campus when the university classes end. There's sports, music, science, debates, dance etc

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumni are very helpful. There's alumni conclaves and reunions held regularly, both departmental and interdepartmental. The alumni help students with internships, jobs and mentorship.

Admission

I appeared for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2018. I had good marks and had the fortune of sitting for counselling at Jadavpur University. The factors that lured me to the course was the huge brand value, the Ju tag, the liberal campus and the very low course fee

Faculty

The most talented people in the respective branches come to teach at JU since it is a state government run college with a great atmosphere for teachers to make themselves better through research and knowledge. The faculty is well equipped with labs and other facilities as well

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
