Remarks

Chandigarh University is a one-stop destination for fun and education simultaneously. It has an amazing college life as well as highly educated teaching faculty. 1) I cannot emphasize more on the good aspects of Chandigarh University as there are uncountable of them starting from the Infrastructure to their Curriculum design. Everything seems perfect and top-notch. Bad aspect being its discipline. Chandigarh University is highly disciplined and systematic. Any kind of nuisance on or off-campus with university's uniform or ID card is not tolerated at all. So, if you are looking for a University which will provide you with a lot of freedom then this university is just not your take. 3) The admission process is really simple and robust. You just need to secure a 65% and above in your 10+2 and you are set to go. Pre-booking of the seat should be done with a token amount of 10,000 before the payment of the admission fee. Several scholarships are available on a merit basis and to reserved categories.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I am currently pursuing Engineering in Biotechnology and this course is very unique and frequently offered by universities. This course is very rare in India and requires a very strong faculty to handle this course efficiently. 1) Faculty is really knowledgeable and Informative with good Industry experience. 2) Maximum professors are PHDians or Engineers. 3) The teaching method is really very technical as they arrange for many seminars, Webinars and expert talks throughout the session. Classrooms are well equipped with smart boards and projectors. Every doubt regarding the subjects is cleared in or outside the class. 3) Every year consists of two-semester examinations and every semester contains 2 sub examinations. Each sub examination contains 1 assignment, quiz, project and presentation.

Internships Opportunities

5

It offers several internships on and off-campus and also according to the choice of the students. Several summer term training is also made available to the students after every even semester. Initially, the Internships are generally non-stipend but later with the work experience, they become paid and sometimes acquire permanent employment from that company to the intern.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are minimal as compared to other top-notch private Institutions. My package is of 6,40,000 for 4 years excluding the hostel. 1) course fee ranges from 25,000 per semester for B.SC/B.Programs and 1,20,000 per semester for integrated CSE-IBM courses. 2) There are many scholarships available for the deserving candidates. Each year before admission Chandigarh University conducts an examination named CUCET exclusively for scholarship purposes. Every candidate qualifying this examination is eligible for receiving a scholarship. 3) Merit-based scholarships are also available throughout the session. Also, special concessions are provided to reserved category students, wards of defense personnel, single girl children, and many more. 3) Many internships are available on Campus and Students pursuing their Ph.D. can even get a job as an assistant professor in the campus itself.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
