Remarks

Nm is one of the most reputed colleges in Mumbai and is known for it's discipline. You'll learn a lot and become a lot more punctual and organized by the time you graduate from this college.

Entrance Preview

I got 85% in my 12th board exams and got in through the Gujarati quota. There is no interview process for it. I selected BMS in NM college as its one of the most reputed colleges in the country and the best option for bms in Mumbai.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I've selected marketing in my third year. The curriculum set by the Mumbai university is not that great. Though the new syllabus and study matter is a lot better from the next batch.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of companies come for students intrested in taking up finance as a future career option. Placement oppurtunities for people selecting marketing is limited in comparison though.

Placement Experience

4.5

The packages are pretty good though. They range from 3-4.5 lakhs P.A, for most marketing placements. A lot of companies such as Deloitte and KPMG from the finance sector come for placements. Only a few students get selected for the best companies but everyone who applies eventually gets an offer from some company.

College Events

5

There are two major college festivals in NM. Drishti -a 3 day management festival organized by students of self-financed courses in jan/feb. The other fest organized is umang- a cultural fest organized by all students of Nm.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's feasible as its a government aided college and is around 12,000-15,000 per semester. The fees differ from course to course though and is different for each year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm not aware of any scholarship offered by college. Though they do offer concessions in fees for students from minorities or under any of the quotas.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of options if a student is intrested in extracurricular activities. They can join clubs such as enactus or be a part of festivals such as drishti. There are other options such as intent and r.c.n.m.

Hostel Facilities

4

The canteen has hygienic and good food at affordable rates. It's shared by half a dozen small colleges of the svkm trust though.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helpful and the alumni network is pretty helpful as a lot of senior level managers are a part of the alumni. Various students have started their own ventures while studying in Nm or just after graduation.

Exam Structure

They follow the MU schedule and pattern of two semesters a year with exams at the end of each semester.

Faculty

5

The faculty is top notch and you can't ask for better teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Here is the breakdown of the total fees I paid for my BMS degree: Fee for FYBMS 18k approx Fee for SYBMS 17k approx Fee for TYBMS 18k approx I don't think that it's increasing, for registration you have to pay 200 rupees like a Boucher code. Tution fees is approx 8-10k per year and by adding other fees to it, it becomes 18k.

Placement Experience:

Ashoka provides good placements and it depends on the students if he or she studies well then why will not be selected, placement opportunities are there in Ashoka with no issues regarding that company like Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, and many more. The packages vary from 2.5 to 4.5 lakhs per annum. From 4 semesters students are eligible for placements means they should start working on it. And if a student Is failed for the placement then should try off-campus or master's. I am going to take the placements. It's not difficult in Ashoka to take placements if you focus on lectures.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I was interested in management and finance so I chose BMS and selected finance in my 3rd sem as my major. Faculty are quite good and qualified most of my faculties were CA to teach us accounts and the teaching method is also great it practical and faculties provide us with practical examples and also play games with us on various study topics. Every faculty teaches different subjects and one faculty handles around 60 students in one classroom. Next about the exams which are very easy and it's not a big thing to pass if you have studied well questions are given from what the faculty has taught us.
