Remarks
As I said this college has a great faculty and even the environment is very positive just the Infrastructure is very low grade
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is pretty vast but I don't feel there is much practical knowledge. I learnt most of the practical things when I started going for my internships. But yeah the subjects are vast and you get alot of important things to learn from them. The examination system is also very fair.
Placement Experience
So basically our college doesn't provide us with any Internships or placements. Yeah we do get an opportunity to do a month's Internship which is mandatory after 4th year but I haven't availed it yet cause I'm in 4th year right now. But yeah I've interned out of the college and worked in top firms in Mumbai and have learnt alot there and teachers have been supportive to help me give time there so I can learn what matters the most.
College Events
Yeah since the year I got admitted suddenly our college started hosting such events like the youth fest or Model youth parliament and other informative yet entertaining fests which helps us grow. And with helping in organising these events we actually learn alot about managing stuff which is a great plus point for youngsters like us.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I'd say it's a bit towards expensive as normally Government colleges are not this expensive the 3 year law in PU just costs 12000 a year but this course costs us around 80000 a year which in my belief is too high and the reason behind it is it's a self financed department but the worst part is even as it's a self financed department the infrastructure is below average in our campus
Fees and Financial Aid
No I did not avail any scholarship or education loan for this course even though the options are available and for students with quotas like SC/ST have 1/4 of the fees paid by the General students. But as I am a general student I can't avail that as well.
Campus Life
The Gender ratio here is 60:40 and apparently 60% are girls which is something very rare Other than that we have a few student unions and we handle stuff accordingly like fests and organising those things. We even have an Instagram page named Humans of PURC which is handled by me and I post about students on it
Hostel Facilities
No there is no boys hostel in our campus so me and my friends have rented a place close to the college and the rent is also not that expensive we 4 friends pay a total of Rs 14000 for a good place. But food is a big issue.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the seniors are very helpful they provide us with notes and books whenever we ask them for but as such there is no alumni network we all are connected via social network only
Admission
I had to give an entrance exam PU-CET and my the test's marks and my 12th Board's percentage both were considered for the rank. Accordingly I got admitted in this campus. There are 3 campuses 1st is the main Chandigarh campus then Ludhiana and the third Hoshiarpur so according to your rank you get admitted.
Faculty
One of the best thing about this college is it's faculty. Teachers do care about their students here atleast most of them. I admire mostly all our teachers the way they teach stuff and communicate with their students is impressive. When we work for them at the time of fests or other events we get to see how well they manage. 9/10 for the teaching staff.
