Remarks

I am lucky to study in the prestigious college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Obviously.being best demands hardwork.it's the same being into mbbs and this college.exams are tough.hardest are the first and final year.best curriculum.it helps us to earn practical knowledge.the clinical posting schedule.the apt division of time into session gives us better opportunity to take cases and present them

Placement Experience

5

I haven't avalied any internship,or had any placement in the college.so I can't comment on.internship is generally for one year

College Events

5

It would be many.starting from union inauguration, marking the beginning of the programmes.each and every day is celebrated.if I started to count,I would definitely miss out something.anyway, let me enumerate a few programmes.teachers day,new year, onam,Christmas, freshers day, carnival, children's day.apart from the general programs.a lot of service programs are being conducted.imprints,sparsh.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Obviously, it's a government institution.the fee per year is 20000 for all years except first year for which it's 25000.then hostel fees are also feasible.it's 11000 per year and mess bills for everymonth.based on what we ate from the mess

Fees and Financial Aid

No.I haven't opted for any scholarships.the scholarships are for those salary below 100000,mainly 2 scholarships are given.moma and egrantz and they are for minority groups

Campus Life

5

The best campus life I could get.complete freedom.and they provide gender equality in almost all aspects except the timing.the timing for hostel entry for girls is 9.30 and for boys, there is no curfew.there are two groups.independents and sfi for epection

Hostel Facilities

5

yes.each hostel room have 2 persons.its large comfortable rooms, with shelves, cots for each one of us two fans are there in the room, average rentals.is 11000 per year.and apart from the rentals.mess fees are to be paid

Alumni/Alumna

Yes.the seniors and alumni students take classes and also render us their books.they give us many tips to srudy

Admission

I want to serve the society.as it is proved during these corona time, being a health professional is the best way to serve people.Out of which being doctor is the best. Calicut medical College is the best among medical colleges in kerala.so I got admission in the college after securing 110th rank for KEAM medical entrance examination

Faculty

5

No words.the faculty are the best doctors.they teaches us from the grassroot level.and makes us understand the key concepts.the classes are arranged in such a manner that we would be able to tackle the clinical scenario given by professors.they uplift us in all aspects.in spite of their support in academics.they also render their support in fields of arts and sports and other extra curricular activities

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Kerala University of Health Sciences - [KUHS], Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Reviewed on Nov 30, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is of high relevance as it ensures that the student learns everything he need to learn in an mbbs life to become a good doctor. The curriculum we are now following is decided by the National Medical Council (NMC) of India and is CBME curriculum. The curriculum include many Self directed learning methods and small group discussions etc which makes the learning interesting and easy. The curriculum definitely prepares the students to become a good doctor in future. Some minute improvements are still required like no need of these many SGDs for community medicine and forensic. It'll be better to include more field activities in community medicine . The frequency and timing of exams are sometimes a burden for the students as the exams are so close and they are not getting enough time to improve themselves which may affect their confidence. Sometimes the exams are scheduled in between some meets conducted by university which makes it difficult for the students to participate.
