Remarks

Overall everything is good but in presnt years its reputation is going downwards for no reasons. So they should analyze this point and make a solution for it to at least stable its reputation. Also it being ompared with other other universities and colleges which is a good thing.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

1st year was common therefore subjects for all the branches were also common. That year we got the best facalty and lab we can get. After that all other branches have different blocks where tespected students will get shifted. On 2nd year, our block get shifted and I moved to mechanical block. Now this block is way more prestigious than other. Reason is clear, we have two different buildings for theoretical and lab classes. Since very much of space is given to us and also student teacher ratio is good, our semest result just got better every time.

Placement Experience

4.5

Currently I am the 3rd year and our placement session will be goin to begin in just few monthes. A lot of companies does came here for interviews and even students get selected with a package as high as 37 lpa. The does hsve their different terms and conditions on basis of which the choose the students. One such example is that to sin in a reputed MNC interviews he/she must be clear in all the subjects also got good grades in all the sems also in the 10 and 12.

College Events

4.5

Our college is full of cultural as well technical events. Also some times national and international conferences are also held in our college. On average 6 small and big events per month are there to show you talent. For example an annual fest called parivartan in there in which each and every event is held for a stundent also can win cash prizes and participation certificates as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very reasonable. It is 92000 for 1st year and 90000 2nd year onward anually. For hostel there are three of them with different fee as well. The hostel fee will be in range of 60000 to 90000 anually. Also the transportation charges are anywhere from 10000 to 30000 rs anually depending where are you from.

Fees and Financial Aid

100% Scholarship is avialable for kasmiri students having 90% or above in 12th. Also some amount of scolarship is given to the stundents who have scored good rank in jee and good marks in 12th. Loan facility is avilable with correspondence to the government of that state. For exapmle Bhiar government provide full education loan on very low rate of intrest.

Alumni/Alumna

One of the best alumni a college can get is in our college. His name is Mr. J S khatra and oy in his presence this college is able to compete with its opponents college. Only becase of him students attend the class or otherwise the college will became the zoo of humans.

Admission

Wrote KEAM and got it. then applied on college website. one day they call me.I just went there and go tthrough the college rules and regulations and fees.I think it is favorable for me. and most of all the college is near my home, so I can stay at my home without getting the hostel

Faculty

5

All over experience is quite well till now. This is just because of the faculty members of college. Experienced faculty members make it even more harmonious to study. The thing is they always try their best to teach but conversely is also true that stundents must be ready to apprehend the knowledge they give. The teacher are very helpful and polite as well as cerebral in their studies.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
