College review

Yes college is good. Well recommended in terms of academic and research. Placement, infrastructure and management needs improvement. Representation of students including day scholars and hosteliers is needed.

The course structure is really good. The new curriculum addresses all the arenas of current agriculture scenario keeping in pace with the current technology and challenges. Some days were hectic while some were rather slower.

Yes placements aren't round the year, packages aren't that good but the curriculum makes you well versed in applying for various government posts and interviews. Internship have recently started with some students even going abroad for research. It's more of a student exchange program.

Cultural fests by students of the college. Technical fests with participants from all over the country. There are literary and dramatic fests too. Recently our students emerged as champions in the agrifest at an all India level.

Fee Structure is mostly good. It's getting costlier by the day but still affordable than most private colleges. Costs 8k- 10k / sem. Hostel charges around 10k. Cost sharing seats in UG costs 55k but 28 k I'm pg.

State and college scholarships are available for 10k and 6k respectively. Icar scholarship sanction orders for nearly 20k are also available for pg and ug level. It's worth it especially if you are a day scholar you won't be spending a dime.

Girls are more in number which is a welcome factor. Tolerance to economic status as most hailing from middle class or rural background. No student politics, leaders are selected but representation of girls in major decision making committee is lacking.

Alumni is good, sometimes friendly but most day scholars are on their own. Networking is essential in this college to live through these 4 years especially if one is a day scholar. Relationship with seniors must be improved.

I went through Anna university counselling, it was based on the cut off of my 12th marks. We will have certain college to choose based on the marks we have scored in the cut off. It happens in anna university chennai

Yes absolutely. The faculty is one of the best in the country especially in research and teaching. They are specialized in their subject matter, and are well equipped to address concerns of students. Moreover they are good in teaching methods and establishing good interpersonal relationships with their students which makes them more approachable.
