My Review

GNIPST ranks 64th in INDIA and it is the topmost Pharmacy college in West Bengal, It's infrastructure, placement and also contacted my seniors to know more about GNIPST and that made me opt for this college. Now it's my graduating year and GNIPST is good at everything a student wants. One change brought by this college is more disciplined and punctuality in my life which I am sure can utilize in my career. My first day as a fresher was quite good, seniors were friendly and there's no ragging in GNIPST.

I studied only one course, B.Pharm regular classes. Labs are been taken as per the schedule and smart classes are also being held for better learning. Equipment and chemicals are being provided to learn practically for better understanding. For every student, a mentor is allowed. The ratio of faculty per student is 1:15.

After 3 years of study, the final year comes where we get ourselves ready for the placement. Our placement cell is very helpful and helps in whichever way they can for us. Companies like CIPLA, ELILILY, WIPRO, NESTLE etc and many more companies visit our college. The year 2020 is a hard time for getting jobs but GNIPST maks it easy. Each and every year many companies visit enormously and 80% of the students get jobs before leaving college. Alumni support the juniors and guide them for the interviews for getting jobs.

In GNIPST every year, between February and March, IRIS 2k20 takes place which is known as the annual fest. Different cultural events take place where every student gets a chance to showcase their talents. The huge library is accommodated in the college where we can spend hours reading. Every important book related to courses is available and journals too with many copies of them. The classrooms of GNIPST are spacious, well ventilated with natural light that provides a conducive environment for learning. We do have a social group which is known as the GNIPST Alumni Association which the seniors control and seniors and juniors interact.

Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided with free wifi. Rooms are quite large to fit in 4 students per room and it is well furnished. To avail for the hostel, we have to fill up a form for staying in a hostel. But at first, we can have a look inside the hostel and if we like them, then we can fill the form. Criteria are girls have to be in the hostel before 6:30 pm and have to fill a leave form for not staying for days. Food quality is good and hygiene is maintained. TV is also provided for entertainment. Free wifi is also there.
