Good college for Economics

The syllabus and course curriculum that our university follows is as per the guidelines of The Burdwan University. University strictly follows the parameter for different courses as laid down by UGC. The pattern of examination that is adopted is semester wise pattern of examination as a part of which examinations are held twice in a year and in total there are 6 semester examinations in the entire course duration.

Talking about the placement and job opportunities I can say that these are not good in our institution. Being an Institute in rural region you cannot expect much in terms of placement and job opportunities. However still the placement cell tries to ensure that as much as possible students get placement. Internship is not required as per our course curriculum.

In terms of c the college has made sure that education should be accessible to all the students and moreover the college being in rural area the fees has been kept minimum. The fee for the entire course duration is is less than Rs 10, 000. The amount has to be paid part wise at the start of each academic year.

The state government of West Bengal offers scholarship called Nabanna scholarship for the needy and meritorious student from the chief minister's relief fund. One can apply for the scholarship provided that the applicant fulfills all the eligibility criteria. Educational loans are also at offer from the commercial banks however since the amount is not that much one can look for loans from rural cooperative banks or can search for scholarships only.

Extra curricular activities in our college are mostly based on celebrations of traditional festival and events and exploring of the rich Bengali culture. Apart from that sports are also given importance as a part of the extra curricular framework. Events like Durga Puja, Dussehra, Republic Day, Independence Day etc are celebrated commonly. Even after being in a rural setup infrastructure of our college is quite good.

Admission to our college are based on direct application that is one has to submit the detailed application form along with documents as a part of the application process. Once the application is shortlisted the admission is granted and document verification and other procedureal formalities are conducted. I opted for this college for my graduation as it is one of the popular colleges in the state of West Bengal. Moreover the Economics course offered by the college is also famous.

Based on my evaluation of the professors in our college I can say that they are good in terms of their teaching methodology. Their knowledge of subject is good and the best thing is that they consider the fact that students find something difficult to understand and make sure that things are presented in a simple manner.
