Remarks

The college management headed by the principal takes care of all the academic things in the college well they always keeps the students as well as the faculty vigilant and active the only issues that can be raised against the college is that some times the college activities are delayed due to the failure in timely conduct of elections.

Entrance Preview

I took KERALA entrance KEAM for engineering and got a rank of 320 in it. My aspiration was an admission at IIT or nit, but couldn't score well for them naturally i went for the next best option which is CET, the best college in our state after nit with a long history of 75 years the admission process was simple solely based on the rank scored in entrance exam.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This college is following the Kerala university syllabus that covers all the main topics in the curriculum and also ensures practical knowledge through labs, seminar, minor and major projects.

Internships Opportunities

Different companies including Texas instruments, amazon, Q burst, Accenture and nest came to our college to hire third year students for internship. The procedure included aptitude tests which tested our knowledge in the subjects and coding, technical and hr interviews which tested our knowledge and communication skills many were hired for internship for two to three months with good stipend amounts of rs.10000 and above those performing well were directly placed into these companies at the end.

Placement Experience

4

There was 100% placement in the past years in all the departments different companies visited the campus and recruited many this includes tata consultancy services with cost to company(ctc) offer rs.330000 recruiting 206 students, BOSCH with ctc offer rs.450000 recruiting 35, Accenture with ctc offer rs.350000 placing 40, IBM with ctc offer rs.300000 placing 50, Comvault with offer rs.700000 placing 10, Mac Fadyen with ctc offer rs.1400000 placing 7, Listern with ctc offer rs.630000 placing 12 and more. More companies are still visiting the campus and the placement process is going on.

College Events

4.5

The college festivals include the cultural festival Dhwani, technical festival Dhrishti, the annual exhibition Cetex and many other small ones they are counted as the state's largest and best festivals with participation by more than 150 colleges all over the country the individual participation is very big up to 300000 last year. Dhwani is conducted in the month of march, Dhrishti in th month of October every year they usually are conducted in 3-5 days with large number of competitions, events, exhibitions, seminars, talks and workshops.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not many loans or scholarships provided by the college the students normally avail center sector scholarships granted by the center and state governments based on the academic performance of students. Grants and funds are provided for the implementation of innovative projects done by students.

Campus Life

4

There are more boys than girls nearly in the ratio 2:1 some branches like mechanical engineering are filled by boys only but civil engineering is more of girls several student parties like KSU,SFI exist in the college and union for the college is formed every year through elections.students of all religion and caste study here there are some seats reserved for the scheduled caste and scheduled tribes in each stream also there are many physically handicapped students studying here in the seats reserved for them the college provides good atmosphere and all necessities for such students there are well equipped labs, workshops, placement cell, language training centers, technical and social organizations for students.

Hostel Facilities

3

College hostels are available for boys and girls separately but the seats are limited to 1000 for boys and 500 for girls. a new building for ladies hostel is under construction and will be open soon the rooms are shared between 2,3, or 4 people the rent is subsidized by government which costs the students only rs.200 per month the mess which is run by student unions itself provides excellent food and the mess bill is variable which comes around rs.2000 per month discounts are available for reserved class students since the number of seats are limited, paying guest facilities are available around the college but that cost up to rs 5000 per month for a student.

Alumni/Alumna

I had good experiences with the alumni of the college they have reached diverse high positions of various government undertakings like ISRO, many private companies and many have established their own businesses the alumni are always ready to help out the students of the college the alumni association CEETA sponsors events like drishti and dhwani which are colleges ' festivals they also encourage students to begin start ups and provide financial assistance for necessary students.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here are very efficient very much informed in their field and always ready to provide any help in technological innovations a wide variety of electives are also provided in each field to study the subject we are interested in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
