The college has good course structure and focuses a lot on research work. The course follows the duration of 3 years. The syllabus is updated frequently. The days at the institution are generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.

Placement Experience

The college aims at Value based higher education. There is the department of placement. They provide with great opportunities to its students. There are internships for the students to grow. They also provide with jobs and placements for their students. Many firms come and recruit the students. Many students take part in the placement programme and enhance their skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is around 70 thousand which is quite feasible as per the needs and demand of the course in the growing industry. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

Campus Life

The institution excels in its extracurricular activities. They enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fete in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure. This also helps in developing competitive spirit among the students.

Admission

Ananda Chandra College was started in the year 1942 and is situated in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. The college is affiliated with University of North Bengal, Darjeeling. Students who have passed 10+2 in any discipline are considered eligible to get admission in BSc course. Selection for admission to is done on the basis of the applicant's marks obtained in written test and merit in the qualifying examination.

Placement Experience:

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

Placement Experience:

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course theory helps us gain a solid understanding of the subject matter. Film studies and Mass Communication theory classes has laid down the foundation of the subject- from what is a shot and the kinds of shots and angles, to the beginning of radio in India and essays by CS Pierce and John Berger. The course also includes practical classes in the sound labs, editing labs and we will learn to use a camera, as one of the things we will have to do in this course is make films of our own.

Our college has a very active placement cell that fetches jobs for everyone who needs and deserve it. We have a placement cell helping students get placed. They keep posting opportunities like internships and fellowships throughout the year to groom students and give them exposure and experience. Placements can go to very high packages like those in Data Science, Big 4 consulting or core finance or banking jobs. CAs, CFAs and FRMs do well in the placements. The highest packages could surpass 12-13 LPA and median packages are close to 6-7 LPA. DE Shaw, Zomato, Myntra, Meesho, TCS and McKinsey are some top companies coming here.
