Remarks

According to me, my college management has been working really well and there is nothing that I want to complain about it.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for the B.El.Ed entrance examination and cleared it with a category rank of 243. I opted for LSR because I always to be here and this was perhaps one of the best colleges of B.El.Ed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is an integrated one where there are theory subjects as well as practicum subjects from first till fourth year a lot of field work is also done to get a first hand experience of the learning process.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't any internship so far but the experiences that I've heard from my friends have been quite noteworthy. There are many well known companies that offer internships to the students with a stipend that varies on the nature of work demanded from them.

Placement Experience

3.5

There a number of placements and job opportunities that are provided in college and all those interested can apply for it. In my case, there are different schools that get in contact with the college so as to hire the interested students.

College Events

4

My college organizes a number cultural festivals such as diwali mela, tarang(annual fest), academic congress and so on but most of them are in house functions and are not open for the outsiders. Diwali Mela is open for females and for tarang each student is given 3 passes 1 for each day which is applicable to both males and females.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of my college is fine except for the professional courses like mine and journalism where they charge a little bit extra as they have to cover more expenses in there but noe that the university has increased the fee structures of all the other courses since last year, there isn't much difference between the two.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes my college offers scholarships and freeships to all the needy students. The scholarships are for meritorious students whereas freeships are for people who belong to the lower econonmic group. I applied for a scholarship this year but since there were a lot of students in that category I was then transferred to the freeship category.

Campus Life

4.5

There are plenty of competitions held in my college and are open to all the students all the societies have their auditions at the beginning of the session where all those interested can go and participate the ones who are selected get a chance to be a part of it permanently.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facilities of my college are quite good except for the fact that there are less number of seats and the students have to compete for them based on their percentages. There are a lot of cultural festivals organized in the hostel and the students enjoy being a part of them.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. We have a separate alumini cell that works in close comnection with all the aluminis of the college and invites them on frequent intervals so the students can get in touch with them.

Exam Structure

The exam structure in my case is annual unlike all the other courses where they have semester system and are marked on a continous basis. We on the other hand have to give assignments on a regular basis so as to score high in the internal assessment which is a very important part of my course.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college is appreciable in terms of the pedagogical styles used by them as well as their personal characteristics. All of them are very good in their respective fields and have a personal touch in their lectures.

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

The B.El.Ed. curriculum offers an interdisciplinary approach, blending theory and practice across subjects like Education, Psychology, and Sociology. It emphasizes hands-on teaching experience through internships, where students practice in real classrooms. There's a strong focus on child development, helping future teachers understand diverse learning needs and manage inclusive classrooms effectively.
