Remarks

More of practical learning should be implemented & should tell students to do virtual internship during their curriculum. Also Entrepreneurship cell should start & should have regular seminars or discussion on Entrepreneurship & startups.

Entrance Preview

I gave CCEE (Centralized Common Entrance Exam) in the year 2005. I wanted to BMS, as it would help me in knowing the intricacy's of doing business, indeed it helped me by participating in various college festivals, organising College Seminar & festival & knowing how Logistics, sales & Marketing, Finance, works.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The Course was for 3 Years post SYJC/12th. Also we had some electives during 3rd Year. I had opted for Marketing (Special Stuy in Marketing) as me Majors.

Internships Opportunities

We never had any Internship Opportunities, but i had opted for marketing research internship & we were placed at Airport & had to collect feedback on particular project.

Placement Experience

0.5

During 2008, Only J P Morgan came as company who wanted to place students from our college & was they were recruiting candidates who were interested in Finance. The CTC whivh hey offered was Rs. 1.8 lacs/annum.

College Events

5

We had 2 events every year.1) Prerna - a Management Seminar, wherein different college student participated in this event. This event was for 1 day.2) Le Melange - this was a 7 days festival, with different event like, Business quiz, Adventure sports, Sports, cultural event like dance, fashion show, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We had around Rs. 8000 to 10000 as our fee per year. the same was bifurcated into University fees, library fees, Industrial Visit Fees, Exams fees, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware about any loan facility or any scholarship that was been provided by College or any other body.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was full of learning as we use to often on participate in some or the other college fest, learn from the outcome of the fest & try to implement all the positive in out fest.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We never had any Hostel or Mess facility, as the college was in the home town where we were staying.

Alumni/Alumna

We could easily interact with our college seniors & infact till date, we do interact with some of them. I personally worked for around 4 years with my seniors in their company.

Exam Structure

Exam structures were basically half yearly. we had 6 exams (6 semesters) in span of 3 years. We had 7 subjects in both the semesters in year 1, followed by 6 subjects in 2nd & 3rd year in both their respective semesters. first 2 years, we had to give exams in our college & during 3rd year, it were university exams & had to be given in other college.

Faculty

3.5

During our time, all the faculties were friendly & used to help us in their respective subject. Many professors use to share Case study instead of going into Theory.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is quite good. Students are eligible for placement in their last semester of course. There are many great companies that come like JP MORGAN, EY, KPMG. Average package of the college is 5-6 lacs but there are high packages according to the skills of the student. I'd like to go for master's after BMS. Different kind of roles are there for students to apply according to their interests in all the fields like finance, marketing, HR, consulting. There is training provided by the college for placemens and there is personal training for individual company interviews if required by students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, the course alone can't prepare you for real world applications. It's important to learn some skills before getting into job market. The course is pretty theory based and doesn't have a practical approach. The only skill thing that college helps with is public speaking through presentations. The teaching methods are also very much traditional type. So it's better to learn some extra skills and get experience, that can help you get your ideal job.
