Remarks
I like the college, the teaching staff here is the main reason behind it. The campus is small but nice and green. The college very strict and thus able to maintain discipline amongst the students. The campus could be made better but all in all a good college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course revolves around the basics of electrical engineering with increasing level every year. It's a course for the ones who are really interested or inclined towards electrical engineering because its considered to be one of the toughest fields of engineering. There are three unit tests in each semester and two practical examinations (internal and external) and then there's end semester exam at the end of each semester.
Placement Experience
If you are a student of the IT sector then your chances of you getting placed from this college is pretry high. But if you belong to core branches then you've got to have your concepts clear to get placed because the placement percentage for core branches over here is around 50 - 60%. This college doesn't provide you with internships although they promote this kind of stuff by giving incentives for the same.
College Events
Here different events are celebrated for example, Aaruni - freshers party, Prerna - Freshers sports day, Happy hours - college's sports day, Pratishruti - annual gathering, Cultural day, Branch cup - the interbranch sports competition and many more. The college promotes these activities as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For an open category candidate the fees is Rs.1,35,500 as of 2017 batch. This amount keeps on increasing by around 5 - 10% every year. For OBC students the fees is around Rs.75,000 and for SC/ST students the fees is only around Rs.20,000. According to me the fees is a bit too high considering the facilities they provide at this price point.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides you with a few scholarship options which includes TFWS (tuition fees wavier scheme), EBC for open category students and some others. For applying for these schemes your fanily income should be lower than Rs.6,00,000 per annum.
Campus Life
The college promotes extracurricular activities abd other sports events in the college by providing the involved students with incentives and physical attendance in the class. The labs are also well maintained and the equipments also work fine more often than not.
Hostel Facilities
The fees for the hostel is also too high for a middle class family. It's around Rs.90,000 for double seated room and Rs.1,00,000 for single seated room. This amount includes Rs.10,000 security deposit. If everything goes fine this deposit will be refunded to you at the time you leave the hostel. The hostel infrastructure includes two old buildings with small rooms which do not justify the price of the rooms. Tje toilets are mostly clean though. They provide you with LAN connection in every room which you can you with you college ID and Password.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of this college visit frequently maybe once in every 2-3 months and guide the students currently studying in the college. Most of the seniors are helpful and nice to you. They help you with your studies and in sports activities.
Admission
I came here through a Maharashtra level competitive examination called the MHT-CET. There are two ways you can join this college either through MHT-CET or JEE. This college has a special quota for hindi speaking minority which reserves 51% of the college seats for them. After clearing the entrance exam with a respectable total or atleast something above the cutoff marks you can apply for admission here. You have to submit the required documents and fees at the college once you've been allotted this college through CAP round.
Faculty
The faculty of this college is well qualified and mostly friendly. The good thing about them is that they know the subjects inside out and so can help you with your difficulties. Although some are not that good but most of them have Ph.d. degrees.
