Course Curriculum Overview
It follows a curriculum and syllabus that was followed by student who were graduated decades ago. New developments in the technology and research oriented programme are not taken into account here. Yes, there were lot of clubs and activities that help to ensure placemmets have been conducted here. No, Till the time there were no industrial visits are condicted.
Placement Experience
There wer 3656 students have got the palcements last year from MNCs like tcs, infosys, Wipro etc. In the preliminary round a written exam will be conducted for the candidates. If the perfomance of the candidate is satisfactory then he will be taken to the nex t round that is interview.
College Events
The events are organised under the leadership of college union. Mainly Drishti-The techical event and Dhwnai-The cultural event have been organised here. Various kinds of workshops, lectures are the main attractions of the technical event Drishti. People from different districts of Kerala in order to participate in this technical extra vaganza.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is about 6000 every year. No there is no additional fees made on top of it. Because the college is under the state government of kerala. The mode of pament they have accepted until the previous year was liquid money. But in this current year on debit card or online payment is allowed for college fee payment.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the eligibility criteria is mainly relied upon the annual family income of the student and the cgpa the student have acquired in the corresponding year. About 500 students will be given this scholarship every year.
Campus Life
50% of the admissions is reserved for girls. There were cultural event named Dhwani and Technical event Drishti have been conducting every year. Political parties whether it is pro-left or pro-right have a decesive role in shaping the view points and attitude of students.
Alumni/Alumna
The former chairman of Isro Sreedharan Nayar was an alumni of this college. Basil Joseph famous Malayalam director also was an alumni of this college.
Admission
Admissions to the college are given according to the rank you have achieved in the state entrance exam. It should be almost in 1-2000 range from candidates of 1. 5 lakh. I have got rank close to 2000 and got admission. The reason for opting this course is becuse of the no of good placements ensured by this course.
Faculty
Good, about 60 lecturers were there to impart knowledge to the students in the college. Most of them were middle aged men who have earned a doctrate degree from prestigious universities. They take classes with the help of presentation on projectors. The y will give additional assignment if the students require any clarification on a specific topic.
