Remarks

I would say it was good and it will get better with time that is what i expect.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

At my time there were two sessionals and one major exam conducted per semester.each sessional exam comprises of 20 marks and the major exam comprises of 50 marks.and the rest 10 marks was for internal assessment. Now the whole structure has been reframed.

Placement Experience

3.5

Since i was in the First Batch of Electrical Engineering and it is hard to get the placement drive held for the first batch. But at my time the placement was held and it was from the company namely All Online and i appeared for the same recruitment drive and got selected by the company. But due to some unforseen circumstances i couldn't join.

College Events

3

There were many events held in the campus. As Wasturwan festival named after the mountain beside the university campus.cultural events were organised. Science based workshops and quiz competition like events were also held in the university campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

To be very authentic about that.I think the Fee was bit on the higher side.it was 30 thousand per semester excluding the transport fee, hostel fee and examination fee.the mode of payment was both online and offline. And an extension counter of J&K Bank was in the university campus for students ease.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes i have opted for the scholarship option at my time in merit cum means scholarship. And i was getting around 25 thousand annualy from the same. The basic eligibility was your marks details in the previous year passed and your family income shouldn't exceed 2.5 lakh per annum

Campus Life

4

I would say i missed my college life very much. The gender ratio was almost equal. Let me tell you i was only good in cricket and Carrom Board.so always used play both whenever there was free time as per the busy time table. Yes IOT ( internet of things) based workshops were held in the university and students were intrested to participate in the same including me.

Hostel Facilities

3

Since i wasn't the hostler.and i have been there with my friends very often.and i would say the hostel accomodation was very good but the food quality in the hostel mess was moderate.each room was alloted to 2 students in some cases 3. The hostel fee was 13 thousand per semester

Alumni/Alumna

Since already said above that i was the first batch in my field of engineering that is electrical engineering.so no experience of interaction with the seniors. But seniors from other fields of engineering like civil and computer science engineering were very descent and well behaved.

Admission

I appeared in the entrance exam named AIEEE now JEE mains after passing my 12th class examination in Non-Medical Stream and then i applied in the Islamic university of science and technology for the admission in Btech and luckily i got the admission in 2012 and classes commence from 16th August 2012.

Faculty

4

Since i was doing my B-tech in Electrical Engineering and i had observed that the faculty was nothing less than awesome. All teachers were always there for us in each and every moment. The faculty was well educated and well behaved as well. So i will rate the faculty 9 out of 10.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
