Remarks

An institute is a great place for learning. But the official processes are very slow. They need to be more prompt.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, the courses and curriculum are designed keeping in mind the present scenario. They provide an adequate environment for study including library and internet facilities. They also have labs and workshops as required. Though there are more possibilities to develop.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement criteria are not that good compared to other engineering colleges. Although they are trying their best to get the students placed. No, I haven't availed of any to date.

College Events

4.5

The college holds many annual events like Sonabyss, tech events like Shouristi. There are also annual sports and cultural events. Also, different festivals are organized on the campus. Different seminars, workshops, conferences have been held the uplift the students and the faculty.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much affordable as compared to other MhourD institutes. They accept only online transactions. There is no need to pay additional fees, students who crack entrance can only get admitted to the institute. Yes, they do show a transparent fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not opted for any. The institute provides scholarships to GATE-qualified students. Students can also opt for other national and state scholarships if they are eligible.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is huge and green. All the departments have their respective labs. Students are from all over India with a majority from North East. So there is much social-cultural exchange. There are different state/tribe/ethnic events organized by students. Sports and other competitions are held annually. They also organize different seminars and workshops. They have NCC and NSS cells.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, the rooms are in sharing and have given accommodation to the students that are admitted. There are different hostels for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students. Also different for boys and girls. Hostels also have different playing facilities like basketball, badminton, table tennis and also Wifi facility.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors offer their helping hand in every way possible. I Have come across alumni who are now serving as faculty of the institute itself. In that way also they are serving the institute.

Admission

I got admission to the institute through Entrance. NERIST holds entrance for all the courses available. One needs to check the institute website for more details. Entrance for Base, Diploma, and degree areas NEE I, II, and III. And there is a separate entrance for PG and Ph.D.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are well educated with good knowledge of the subject matter. Also well mannered and friendly. Ready to help the students whenever needed. They take immense care of the students keeping in mind the all-round development. Classes, practicals are always on time and the teachers never fail to do their part.

These new NITs were established as centres of excellence in technical education to combat the growing need of technological professionals in India. Initialy the NIT AP started functioning in a hired building at Yupia, district Papumpare as its temprorary site. Its permanent site is under construction at Jote, Papumpare, surrounded by Lush green forest and mountains. The area is picturesque and surrounding makes it ideal for a nobel academic environment.
