Walked in to new life

I feel proud to be a part of the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology and a family member of the Food Technology department. my family and I are completely satisfied with my college.

The course followed is very much updated and also the teaching standard is excellent. The teaching quality is maintained in such a way that students can relate with their practical life and concepts are automatically cleared. Moreover, the questions in the exams are such so that only basic common sense can help to score well rather than mugging up.

Our college takes good care of keeping contact with several respected and popular industries and brings them to hire the students. It also arranges regular visits as well as training for the students.

Our college hosts several technical and cultural events where several students get a scope to participate and keep a voice in them. All are given the opportunity and the events are conducted in a very grand manner causing little or no problems. The food technology department hosts its own fest and it is also a grand event for the college.

The fee structure is feasible and worth as well as the college provides many more opportunities as regard to the fees. Moreover, a minimum charge is always expected yo maintain such a huge campus and its infrastructure. But in case any student has any problem in any semester then, the matter is looked into and adjustments are made for valid reasons.

Scholarships are given to students on the basis of examinations that are conducted and marks that are scored. If any project of any student gains recognition then the college authorities take the responsibility to sponsor and help the students to carry out their works.

Being a ragging free campus, the students from all years keep a good relationship between themselves. All the students of the college work unitedly and help each other in times of need. The senior-junior relationship in gnit is just an ideal one and we all work like members of the family.

The seniors and the alumni are the most helpful. At least for my case, the first friend of mine in the college is actually my senior and alumni of gnit, whom I met in social media and we had lots of talks sharing of ideas related to projects or academics.

I was opting for a chemistry-based subject. Since food technology is a core chemiatry based and falls under chemical engineering so I opted for the subject. Since many colleges in Kolkata do not have food technology so I looked into the various colleges and found Gnit to be the best as it gives the students the opportunity to work freely and well-equipped laboratories caught my attraction. I also took the feedback of the current students and also an alumnus of mine and was determined to study in gnit. I did not face any kind of dilemma and was pretty sure about my decision.

Teachers are our friend's cum extended family with whom we spend most of the day. We work together to make our dreams come true. Various activities and projects are undertaken by students under the guidance of our teachers. When we are together, the workplace becomes home. We share a very well understanding and always share our thoughts and feelings without hesitation.
