Remarks

It is a very hospitable atmosphere for students but the fact that students can't use mobile phones in campus is disappointing

It is quite relevant and fair as all the courses at Mar Baselios college of engineering and technology are vast and quite helpful and friendly for the students. I believe that after my graduation it will have made a huge impact on making me a better professional in my field of studies.

Placement Experience

It is good and the number of students that have got placement to prestigious companies are very high

College Events

The college has various fest such as crossroads and baselian fest. The baselian fest was conducted by the college itself as an arts festival for the students there, while crossroads which is a fest on a state level which participants from other colleges can also participate

The fee structure at Mar Baselios college of engineering and technology is feasible as well as expensive as the college is a private college and the mode of payment is via the South Indian Bank which makes transaction easier for the students and parents to make

Campus Life

The mar Baselios college of engineering and technology provides a very different and wonderful diversity for the students at the institution. There are lots of extra curricular activities as sports and there is an IEDC lab for the robotics and technological studies for students.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I have opted for hostel and the hostel rooms are quite spacious and has a very friendly atmosphere. It is very safe and has security 24*7 with water and electricity. The food is very good and has a very nice menu there.

No I do not have any experience with alumni network or with the senior students from mar Baselios college of engineering and technology

Admission

I got admission for mar Baselios college of engineering and technology by the method of management seat where the applications were selected on the basis on their 12th marks and all Kerala entrance rank. As I had secured an above average marks in my 12th I had secured a seat for computer science and as the college was in Trivandrum I opted for it

Faculty

The faculty have very nice teaching skills and try their level best to interact and teach the students. They are quite proficient in their subjects and well versed in knowing about their subjects and some of the teachers at the institution have much experience in their subjects

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Mar baselios college review

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
