Remarks

Good infrastructure & good recognition in national ranking. Good in facilities. Good in campus extra curricular activities. Good for in campus restaurant food. Good for sports activities Still improvement needed for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

Couurse curriculum is more oriented to research, it's a more practical based base course, so you have to go A lab every day comprising 4- 5 hours, course is regular which all subjects you have to attend at least 75% classes.

Placement Experience

Placements are good in the college if you will talk about IT &core branches. Overall it is 100 percentage placement unless you don't want to sit in process or you are having any backlog. There are enough opportunities to get a job in campus.

There is a long list : Holi, Diwali, Ganesh chaturthi, Saraswati puja, Annuy farewell, Techfest, International students meet, Winter fest, Freshers, Celebrity night, Hall fests, Annual sports meet, Inter NIT meet, Like these a long list.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is government based fee structure. Also based on category wise and financial condition. Fee structure changes every year on the basis of MhourD guidelines. Needy students get scholarship also. Also on the basis of college banks give edit loan.

Fees and Financial Aid

Swami suchetananda. Like these lot of scholarship which are available for meritorious students or having financial weak background, you can also avail scholarship from your respective state body. College also provide some limited scholarship.

Campus Life

College is having every type of sports facility. Lots of competitions you will get for participating, also you will get these sports centrally and respective in your hall also. Swimming, cricket, football, tennis, hockey courts are available here.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure - facilities is very well maintained & like these facilities you will hardly get in any government college of India. College is full of new hostel infrastructure & buildings with inbuilt every facility like music, indoor & outdoor games in every hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

There is strong alumnus network by which alumnus can help current student for any type of his need. Also alumny funds for startup growing in college. college organises annual alumnus meet every year which makes bond strong.

Admission

I have JEE - Mains exam, after qualifying I got a rank on the basis of that I have to fill choice for college. After counselling I got this college in which I had to verify our documents for admission.

Faculty

Faculty of the college are well deserved for teaching, they all are having doctorate degree, all are very capable of teaching in their own field. Every teacher have some special strengths on basis of that he gets a chance to teach that subject.

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

So I choose these college over the others because of its relevant name and the hype of this college In India as It is Institute of national importance And also a government backed college and it is one of the most demanded college. So the colleges which I have applied to are DTU, NSUT, Nit Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Surat Kal And top 7 iits. No I was not rejected from the other college which I have applied to but the combination of branching and the college value Doesn't satisfied me for taking admission in that colleges. So the admission process for the Nit Rourkela Is that the eligibility criteria is 75% in 12th class And second criteria is to clear the entrance exam which is the JEE mains and also scoring a very good marks in it. Then by the centralised Josaa Counselling student will fill their choices ,lock and get allotments in the upcoming rounds of the josaa counselling. The ending rank to take admission in this college in the EC branch is about a 6000-7000 rank in the jee mains exam for the other state people. Everything about NIT ROURKELA ( campus life, placements, fees )

The best aspects of the college is the campus. It's the second largest campus in India. A lush green campus with a very good mess facilities. The buildings are great. Hostels are also good. Evrything about infrastructure was a plus point. Only negative point is the non availability of airport due to which some companies refuse to come a pick students.
