Remarks

The college is overall very good the atmosphere is very ambiant we get nice weather every evening. It is situated 9 KMs from the main city which somehow makes the transportation a little tedious but the same thing also provides us with a very peaceful and serene atmosphere.

Entrance Preview

I took CLAT(Common Law Entrance Exam). I got an AIR 729 and got admitted into one of the 16 National Law Universities of the country. I always wanted to do something which is not too mainstream everybody is craving for IITs and engineering medical was not my cup of tea so I chose Law.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course here has 6 Subjects with 3 compulsory and 3 Optionals. It has Law, Legal Research and English as compulsory subjects and Political Science, History, Sociology and Economics are offered in combination of Major and Minor Subjects of 3 each.

Internships Opportunities

I didn't take any internship yet but the college's internship cell is very active and student friendly. It has a huge database ranging from NGOs to Judges, Lawyers and Firms. The college provides a recommendation letter for the internship and also provides an internship diary where students record their internship experiences.

Placement Experience

4

90-95% of students who sit for placements are placed in major legal firms. As it is a law college, students here prefer to study for Judiciary or Civil Services. Students who desire to sit for placements are almost placed and have an average package of 7-8L with Highest package of around 10L.

College Events

5

A lot of labour workforce is employed in the college for the construction of a wholly new India's first Human less Library and a grand auditorium for the college so currently there are no Fests organised here but will be organised in 2 years from now. Apart from this, college regularly organises Debates, MUNs, Moot Court Competitions, Cultural Nights etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship availed yet but the college provides sholarships for income group, caste etc. The scholarship sustem is smooth college is registered for govt. scholarships. The scholarship department helps the needy people get the scholarship and the people from various incoe groups or caste can get these.

Campus Life

5

The campus life here is amazing. We have a full city established in 62 acres of land we have an amazing facility area which has all the shops of daily requirement. The gender ratio is 2:1 which is all dependent upon the Merit List of the entrance exam. Every Saturday, the various clubs and societies such as debating society, Mooting Society etc. hold competitions giving a complete exposure to the students. To my surprise, one student from my batch requested for a poetry and shayari program and the next thursday onwards, we had a poetry and creative club named the talking square.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are 5 Star here we have ACs in our rooms working the whole day without any power cut. They're only switched off during the class timings we do have ACs in our classrooms too. The mess food is good too being in Punjab, how can one expect bad food. There may be some problems in rare cases in the food because food is prepared on a large scale, but regularly no issues.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumnis network is very well established and is spread all over the world. The college's first batch passed out in 2011 with 100 students and till now, over 500 students have passed out. All these students are engaged in various professions some are even doing higher studies in Harvard, Oxford and Yale. RGNUL students don't find it difficult to get a job or apprenticeship work under judges or lawyers because of huge alumni network.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty here is very cooperative. All the teachers and professors are available on call 24 hours and no one will face any inconvenience regarding the faculties or the quality of study.

In our college student become elgible for placement from 9th semester onwards i.e the second last semester.
