Remarks

As the majority in the campus is of the muslims but there is nothing such that it look like a muslim institute. My words to management is try to maintain Islamic culture in the Institution.

Entrance Preview

I got admission in the islamic university via entrance examination. I have done diploma in electrical engineering at kashmir govt polytechnic srinagar i am a lateral entry student at IUST.

Internships Opportunities

I have not yet find any company hiring students moreover, our batch is the first batch that will be pass out in 2016.

Placement Experience

As I already this university is recently established and efforts are being made to make the university best in India.

College Events

Yes, different festivals are being organised in the campus at regular interval of time, PRESTIGE is one among these festivals that I like the most.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee wiever scheme is best for those students who are extremely poor merit cum means and other scholarships are available there.

Campus Life

All these things are best girls are more in number than boys.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel for boys and girls are very apart hostel are well maintained, neat and clean, and security is nice the fee is normal as per the standard of food given to the students.

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Seniors are best from my point of view they are very helpful especially when there is a need of help they help us in our studies and make advices.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Review about Shri mata vaishni devi university

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.

An Honest Review

. I applied for JEE josaa counselling apart from this college, .I got admitted in the NIT srinagar however my branch was Mechanical which i was not intrested in . The admission process of this university was quite easy and similar to the rest of of the colleges . I Visited their website, applied for the course, got admitted there in both of the courses i had applied for i.e B. Arch and B.Tech CSE. But I chose CSE as it was what i was more inclined towards. . IUST is not as bad as it seems.

I did not apply for any other colleges because I wanted to opt of a degree in Computer Science and IUST is basically the only university in Kashmir that offers the said course with quality.
