KIIT- A INSTITUTE TO GIVE A NEW HOPE TO YOUR DREAMS

One of the positive aspects of our college is that it is totally ragging-free and has the best placement opportunity. One might find the hostel faculty a little bit annoying because of the strict hostel rules here.

Course and curriculum are flexible here and followed according to the AICTE norms. In the second year, the student gets electives to choose from. Coming to the exams, every semester there is a midsem test of 20 marks, and an endsem exam at the end of every semester comprising 50 marks. The rest 30 marks are a part of internals. The campus has well-furnished labs in every department with every lab facility and responsive faculty members.

KIIT has surplus opportunities for internships and placement. One can get an internship starting from 1st year with a stipend starting from INR 5000. A student never returns empty-handed if he takes admission here. Many companies like Google, Cisco, IBM, Wespro, Microsoft, etc. hire a vast number of candidates including mass placement. Talented candidates get decent packages here.

There are many events that happen from time to time here. The most prominent one is KIITFEST held in the month of December where many technical and cultural events are organized along with star night. Festivals like Sarswati Pooja, Diwali, Holi, etc. are celebrated by the students here. This year (2020) the Khelo India University Games was hosted by KIIT.

The fee structure is quite expensive here. The fees for B.Tech candidate is as follows- Tuition fee - INR 175000 per semester Mess fee - INR 17500 per semester Hostel fees- Three bedded AC - INR 50000 per sem. Three bedded non-AC- INR 28000 per sem. Two bedded premium AC (with attached bathroom) - INR 70000 per semester.

The candidates who score a rank under 1000 in the KIITEE entrance test get a scholarship of INR 10000 per annum. Also, the students scoring 9.8+ CGPA in a semester get a scholarship of INR 10000 for that semester. Talking of the loan facilities, various nationalized banks provide education loans for studying in KIIT. The details are as follows- SBI- max 7.5 lakhs with an interest rate of 10% per annum without any collateral ICICI and HDFC - max 10.5 lakhs without collateral at 10.55% interest per annum. When it comes to sports, KIIT has enough resources and opportunities. It has its own BCCI approved cricket stadium. Other stadiums include football and hockey stadium. Well-trained coaches are available to train the students so that they can reach a new height in sports too. Lawn Tennis and Badminton facilities are available. Every hostel has its own badminton court. KIIT has various societies like NCC, Kshitiz, Pixoral, TPH, etc for extracurricular and cultural activities.

The hostel infrastructure is very impressive in KIIT. Every type of facility is provided including mess facility, 24*7 electricity, Hot Water in winters, Laundry service, etc. I would rate the hostel 9.5 out of 10.

Seniors are very helpful here. They are very friendly. This university is ragging-free so a student can live without any fear. I personally have many senior friends in KIIT who help in every possible way.

In order to get admission to KIIT, the candidate has to participate in the KITEE entrance exam held in January or February every year. A rank under 5000 will guarantee the candidate's CSE branch. The entrance is free of cost. A rank under 1000 will grant the candidate a scholarship.

KIIT mostly has young faculty members whose interaction with the students is quite good. Many experienced members are also there. A student has to search for the right faculty. Fortunately, I got a very experienced and talented Data Science faculty in the college.
