Course Curriculum Overview

Although courses may vary in size, subject matter or level,a systematic process will help us to continue our course and the syllabus to effectively which desire instructional goals. Effective course design begins with understanding that we students can easily learn them.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

In our college, 75 percent to 80 percent of students are placed in our course. The recruiting companies are Sasken, Jackson LTD,Amdocs, AISGLASS etc.

College Events

We have many cultural and technical events. We use to celebrate in some special events like 15th August, Republic Day, New year Holi etc. Our college also likes to organize some inter debating competitions to increase our knowledge and vocabulary in English.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college provides us with a feasible course fee structure. We can pay the semester fee in Upi, Paytm, Google pay, Phone pay, and also making a draft copy from respective banks. There are no additional fees that have to be paid in order to secure an admission to our course.

no. We have not opted for any scholarship or educational loan. As our college has a low course fee so there is nothing about the scholarship.

We have great campus facilities in various industries like Saskon, Jackson, Amdocs, AISGLASS, etc. In our college, there is no gender ratio as our college believes inequality and it also have good diversity. Our college always organizes several types of extracurricular activities.

In our college, all our seniors are very helpful and cooperative. We always get educational or any study-related help from our seniors.

Admission

We got admission to this college through join entrance exam. We got admitted in the college at 25th March 2019. Admission officers review and make decisions on 100 sometimes 1000 applicants in a short period of time They are under enormous pressure to assess the applicant's pull in order to produce the best class, campus, and community possible.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.

Honest Review of a UEM New Town Student

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.

I have not yet reached the placement time because i am a fresher. But more than 1000 offers are made to students and placements are pretty good as i got to know from my seniors. The highest package from chemical branch was 75 lacs last year.

The placement of our college is great. Almost all the students who sit in the interview got placed in good companies and the other students opts for higher studies. This year 1353 offers are given to 1277 students till now.

Don't be a minimum guy, Choose GKCEM

It’s Greater Kolkata College of engg and mgmt. under JIS group is one of the best colleges around for students. Though my department of Mechanical Engineering is favorite for its labs, facilities, faculties and it is as good in other sections also. Certainly, our college provides adequate infrastructure and quality teaching of the faculty members here. This college is affiliated to MAKAUT University and many top companies visit the campus during placements. The senior are quite helpful to the juniors.Its an anti ragging campus. Infrastructure is quite good but not the best out there.Faculty percentage is little less at least what i felt throught my academic session but atleast better than other colleges.Labs are all in working condition with lab technicians.College offers some workshops and webinars very pften to allow students to indulge to get insight into industry relevant ideas....Read More
