Remarks

The infrastructure of the campus was extramly good and they provided all the facilities we want. Only the negative remark was about men's toilet which was outside the campus then. Now the college has a decent toilet inside the campus itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As a physics enthusiastic, I was so much excited to join the Electronics department. Electronics is a brach of physics which deals with the charges and other related parts, it is a specialized course work which covers almost all the subjects related to it. The best lab facilties we got in there, and the exams were in a way that it will give a good idea of how good the student is in that subject.

Placement Experience

2.5

As it is a small government aided college, there was no campus placements in our department. And also there was no internship programs conducted during our Time. The placements were conducted by the University and our faculties helped us to attend them.

College Events

4

The college conducted a lot of events every year in the college including Technical seminars and workshops, Cultural dances and plays, and many youth festivels. The major highlight of the college was we used to reach at 1st or 2nd position in the university youthfestivals every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a government aided college, fee was very much less and affordable to every students. Also there were many scholarships given by government as well. Every year with some concession we were only paid few hundreds only.

Fees and Financial Aid

All scholarships came though the state government scholarship systems. I had been getting a scholarship named Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship (SJMS) with an amount 10000 per year. The application was given thourough the college and then a statewide merit list has published depending upon many criterias. A renewal was compulsory every year after complition of even semesters.

Campus Life

5

College had a very big ground for sports. We were active in sports, especially in cricket and football. Next one was the NSS unit in the college, which was very active though out my course period and we has got a lot of work to collab with public. An NCC unit for girls were also present in the college which made a lot of brillent female cadets every year. Gender ratio was equal everywhere except in the NCC unit.

Hostel Facilities

2

Not opted any or them as the college was nearly 25 km away from my home. I used bus transport with student concession to go to college and to come back. Busses were frequent in that route and hence it was very easy to get into it.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. College usually keeps in touch all the alumnus and they used to tconduct meet ups too. Each of such event brought a lot of successful people and they have motivated us a lot. Department used to bring few old students for interacting with students to clarify their doubt about the future of them after the completion of the course.

Admission

Like as all the colleges in kerala, wmo college also hire students depending on a merit list prepared depending upon the marks obtained by the student in 12th class. There are separate admission criterias for all the Casts and religious categories.

Faculty

4

A very brillent team of Assistant and associate proffesors are there in the department, who are all having a vision to make the students best of best in the relevant subjects. Most of them helped us thourough out the course to clear our doubts and provided us with practical knowledge in each subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
