Remarks

Positive- 1. Reputed college with good placements, 2. Zero to almost zero cases of ragging, 3. Good exposure to extra curricular activities, 4. Qualified faculty. Negative: 1. Old infrastructure, 2. Old buses, 3. Poor Canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our college is affiliated to VTU where in there's a 3 internal exams and 1 final external exam system plus 1 internal and 1 external for labs. I wouldn't say our exams are frequent neither is it too far apart (3 internals in 3 months).

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements of our college is quite good and also better than many of the other colleges as we have one of the best placement officers amongst us. Prof. S H Khan is seeked by the top colleges of Bangalore but he has never left our side.

College Events

4

Our main management & cultural attractions include Kalanjali, Verve(Ethnic Day), and departmental fests. KalanjalI is the biggest fest of our college and different colleges come to participate in different events. Although its not as great as some of the newer colleges but its not bad aswell.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For KCET students fee structure is 60k per year. For COMED-K: 2Lakhs per year. and management students : 2 lakhs per year. and feasible or not, I would say its lesser than other colleges, I cant really tell if its feasible or not.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college awards the students who secures top 5 VTU rank a scholarship of 5000/- INR. And as for other loan availability, I don't have a good knowledge. I myself have availed PMSS scholarship which is a different sort of scholarship.

Campus Life

2

Gender ratio is quite balanced 60:40 or 50:50. Our college is quite known for extra curricular activities for its sports team. Our college has two big grounds one for cricket and other for football. Our football team and also the badminton team comes under top 10 of Bangalore college teams. Apart from sports we have a debate team called DEBSOC which has won many debate competitions and has also earned a trip to foreign countries.

Alumni/Alumna

I don't know much about the alumnI association. but the seniors are very friendly and very helpful. not like how I have seen in movies xD. I have never been ragged and our college has a good reputation when it comes to these matters.

Admission

I got in thourough KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) where I secured a rank of 7300 and with this rank(which is considered a decent rank) I got Sir. MVIT ISE in 3rd round of allotment. I had given this college in my priority list as this one of the few reputed colleges in Bangalore.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
