Remarks
Very bad adminstration up to when you have not taken the admission they take care of you but once you has taken the admission it means now you are in their trap now they will handel you in the way they like. Zero respect for parents.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is very easy to do, no books required, only presentation based study is done. Don't know about research, mid semester test are held 2 times in each semester and their is about 1 month gap between them, after 2nd mst within the 1.5 month semester end examination are done. When next semester starts within 1or 2 months previous semester result is shown.
Placement Experience
In 1st and 2nd year institutional training is given, in my department(civil)their is less chance of placement but in cse department the chance of placement is high. No stipend is given for institutional training, only paid internships are offered by the external companies which we have to take on our behalf.
College Events
Every cultural event is celebrated with full support. Good organizational work is done by university staff and by department of student welfare. Technical events also takes place, but not with much focus to maximum participation.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For batch 2018-2020 1sem-79500 1year hostel-84000 Cu fest-1500 if you get late to submit fees for 1st week it's 500 per (hostel, academic), for next week it's 500 and for next it's 5% of fees pending. Once in degree fees are:- Security fees -2000 Uniform fees-1500
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I don't know about any of these things at my time, but now there is CUCET test is held for scholarship. About loan I don't know much but one of my friend takes loan from his state bank and no late fees charges are applied on him.
Campus Life
In my class there are only 10girls and 61 boys, no parties, students are tolerant, secular, no politics is there inside campus. Economic status is about 50 percent students have not taken the loan (according to my idea).
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good, security is also good, there is two five seater hostel and six 4 seater hostel, 1seater hostel is also available but fees high, one city hostel is also, there approximately 20-25 buildings for hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni meetings are organised by our department time to time, but no current discussion with senior is held. The alumni tell us about their placement experience and now what they are doing in how much salary.
Admission
I was trying to get admission in government university but some how the conditions was not suitable. So I think to do degree in civil engineering and at the same time Chandigarh university was putting so much of advertisement on tv or on YouTube, so it creates a focus on this university and I decide to take admission in this university. Taking admission in this university was so easy, they demanded full cash for 1st semester fees+hostel fees, so we give money and get the admission.
Faculty
Faculty is good, university has given the chance to freshers which is good thing to give chance to new generation. Many of experienced faculty is also there which have experience from government departments. Adminstration is so bad one sided decision is taken if once your complaint is sent then the adminstration will not hear you and one sided decision is given.
