Remarks

Good exposure, good brand but there is always scope of improvement and then there is always going to be good old Irfaans and lots of memories.

Entrance Preview

Admission to SRCC is on the basis of marks obtained in Grade 12 board exams. This admission is based on merit and cut off is declared for the individual courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum for B.Com(Hons) could be better. The focus is more on theoretical base. The course requires more emphasis on the practical knowledge. Also, more variety in offered courses and more flexibility in choosing the course structure could really help.

Internships Opportunities

The college has an internship cell. Few companies do come to recruit students for the same. However, these intern ships are not mandatory. The college can really help in growth of students by making such internships mandatory and as a result bringing in more companies for the same.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement scenario has improved quite much now. However, the consulting jobs that come are still very limited. Also, not many start-ups are called in for recruitment. The average package is low considering the brand. The average package for an average IIT is better than SRCC. Average package is somewhere around 5 Lakh. Students can really do with better packages.

College Events

5

Very high on extra curricular and the other events. Crossroads, SRCC Fest, is the best in DU. It has massive fan following in other colleges as well. It is very well organized considering the little campus of SRCC. Apart from this, SRCC sees other events especially the national level Business Conclaves. Also, lot of well known people come to the college. Most notably, Sunder Pichhai's visit in Dec'15.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Considering the amenities, except for he hostel part, the fees is nominal. The college has a good infrastructure- temperature controlled classrooms, projectors, good sports facilities, library, among other things. However, when one compares to other colleges in DU, SRCC may seem expensive at 17K/year.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various merit based scholarships available. I am sure college website will have more information about it.

Campus Life

4.5

In my time, life was more about the activities around the campus than the studies in the classroom. However, this seems to have changed over time with the introduction of semester system. There seems to be a balance between both the aspect of college life now. The students come from all parts of India as well neighbouring countries. The college has a good diversity giving an opportunity to fellow students to learn from each other.

Hostel Facilities

2

Admission into hostel is merit based. With only 50 seats in girls hostel, that too divided into 3 years and taking quota into consideration, it's very difficult. Clearly I did not get the hostel. So, all I can suggest is, SRCC can really do with hostels with more capacity.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very strong and ever ready to help. The college authorities even though active in arranging alumni meets, a more pro-active online portal is required considering the spread across the world.

Exam Structure

In my time college had an annual system. Now the system has been replaced with a semester system. As I hear students really have to work hard to strike a balance between their studies and other things. It was much easier in our time. Just had to study once at the end of the year. Now, it seems like an ongoing process.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is highly qualified, well versed in the subjects taught by them. However, they could focus little more on case study method of teaching, it could really help students once they lookout for opportunities post their undergrad. The teachers otherwise are really helpful. They go out of their way to help the students they are teaching or they taught.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
