Remarks

Positive remarks :- College is really a peaceful place if someone say you have to spend your whole life in the hostel then I am ready. So calm and peaceful environment all around, peacocks in the garden and 5 o'clock pigeon sound outside the room was just amazing.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is fine. There is semester system and you have to give internal exam also in mid of the semester and that internal exams marks also add in the final semester. If I talk about exam structure then it consists of 4-5 ques with 4-5 subparts. There is internal choice also and total marks allotted to the paper is 70 and 30 marks is for internal exam ( mid semester exam )

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement cell of the college is really active. Some big companies like Bain and company , Deloitte , KPMG , Embibe have hired students from our college. Yes , our college provide us the internship. I did one internship in Dec 2017 in All india institute of medical sciences under student mentorship program. The total stipend was 10k for 2 months. The overall experience of the internship was really good. I was doing internship in the cancer department. So I got to many things related to medical field.

College Events

4

As our college believe in " unity in diversity". Basically in St. Stephen's college there is quota of Christian students so our college has a small chapel and we celebrate Christmas with zeal and enthusiasm. Adoremus is one of the cultural program which is celebrated in the week of Christmas. On the technical level , college also organise national and international conferences one of the national conference organised last year was NCoNSI. There are many societies in the college and they organise many cultural events time to time. Model United Nations (MUN) is also organised by the college at big level and from all over India student's participate in this event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive. They add all the funds like college development fee , Choir fee , college hall renovation funds etc. If I talk about first semester then I paid Tution fee - 108 , Electricity And water fee - 2400 , Garden fee - 500 , college development fee- 1800 , universe exam fee- 1820 , establishment fee - 7200 , social service donation - 100 , IRC fac fee - 1200 ( all numbers are in Indian rupees ). All this amount is for 1st semester. And per semester there was increment of 5-10% in fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides bursaries schlorship to the students. There are many schlorships on the name of alumnus of the college. Schlorship criteria os basically overall academic and non academic performance. I have availed college bursary schlorship and I called for the interview for this Schlorship. There is small interview for every schlorship after shortlisting.

Campus Life

5

Physics and chemistry labs are really good. Chemistry lab is well ventilated and chemicals are also in proper amount. There is one common extracurricular room for the students where we can play Carrom , snookers and business games. There is a small LED where boys watch cricket matches. The economic status of the college is really good as we can see our college alumnus. Almost of them are IAS , IPS.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes I was in hostel. Since st. Stephen's College is a very old college so hostel rooms are very old. We don't call hostel as hostel we call it residence. The condition of the rooms is fine. The rooms are not fancy at all and there is no balcony in the room and for final year students there is single seater room. Hostel seats are really very few. So many of the students live in nearby pg's. The average rentals which need to be paid is 10000 rs per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year we have alumni meeting in the college where we get a chance to meet every big person who is passed out from the college. College seniors are also really very good. I was doing one project in the final semester and my college senior helped me throughout in that project.

Admission

I gave entrance test. From there I got 45 rank and st. Stephen's college called me for the interview. In interview they asked some basic questions. And I like to mention one of the question " why you are choosing our college though you can get other college in this rank and our college library is also too small as compared to other college" so my answer was "Sir quantity of the books doesn't matter but quantity matters".At that time they were really impressed with my answers.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is the college is really genius. There are many prominent professors in the college and their way of teaching is really good. The clarity over any topic is necessary for any subject so they clear our all doubts and Most of faculties have done PhD and even post doctorate too. Sometimes teacher's take surprise test so that they will examine students.
