Remarks

There are a lot of space available for leisure or pdoductive use and all.we get lot of connections here in cet.alumini friends placements arts skills everything you can develop here.the canteen has the best fish curry and fry.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is nice. 6 months or less a semester.we have 6 subjects in total.exams are divided as two sessionals and project marks for internals, which is out of 50 and final university exam out of 100.total marks is out of 150.we need seperate pass percentage for internals as well as university exam. Ie 22.5 for internals and 45 for university exam.

College Events

There are a lot of events happening in our college including technical fests, cultural fests, inter departmental fests, inter year fests and a lot more.they are dhwani drishti sargam and disha.usually disha is our first one mainly for first years as and ice breaker to our college, drishti is our technical fest inter college.dhwani is the main cultural fest of our college.sargsm is year vice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible.mainly exam fee that increases with year.there are fee concessions for different categories available, various scholarships available and no fees for scheduled caste and tribe students

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities are available in large domain a lot of clubs are available including cetalks, cetsat, music club, dance club, ieee clubs, cycling club, watch the freaks is our dance troup, they usually go for inter college fests and theres history of their victory for many dance competitions.

Hostel Facilities

I am not a hostler, so i donno much about that.but.hostel rooms occupy a maximum of 4 to 5 studenrs.layered beds available.food is also available 3 times daily.bathrooms are not attached.wash area is available.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes.the alumini connection is really good.they reccomend us a lot for placements and internships.provide a lot of help and sponsorships in case of our fests.the alumini are informed of all the special activity happening in our college.they usually get a mail from college.

Admission

First we have to write an entrance exam.named keam.for which we have to prepare maths chemistry and physics.the entrance marks as well as 12th board marks is made cumilative to make the final rank list.depending upon the rank list allotment is available online.and prior to that we can give options of colleges we prefer.

Faculty is really nice.most if them as professors and associste professors.assistant professors and guest faculty.mtech trainees also teach us for experience.lab is very efficient usually conducted by professors themselves.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More

Good the questions are well organised and quality of questions were good
