Remarks

the college is very good to join if you join for its placement but if you want to join any college for practical knowledge then you should join this college as this college is good for placements only.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Basically the electronics and communication engineering curriculum and course is not that practical based in this college but its theory based.but they have very good Labs in which you can get practical knowledge but the lab classes are very few and but if you want to do practical then you can go there. But that's the problem of every collegevery few colleges provide practical based knowledge so I think the college is very good in that at least a very good labs for practical knowledge as it has labs like research and development labs and many other Labs in which you can practice practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

4.5

Talking about the placements the best thing about the colleges that it has the best placements in the north.the only thing which you can consider while taking admission in this college is that its best placements almost 500 + companies visit the college every year which is a merit point For it. So so whether teaching is that good or not it does not matter but it is the best placement so you can go for it as if you do hard work by yourself then they give you companies in which you can try and they also provide summer internships in the first year they also have partnership with industries which can give you training in and internships in 2nd year.

College Events

4

There are lots of annual event celebrated in the college every year but the biggest function hosted by the college is Parivartan which is being hosted in November it is a function of two days. Each of the day one stars come for performing at the function and they also celebrate many other functions like red bull night and folk music.

Fee Structure And Facilities

So talking about the fee structure I don't think any other college is that feasible in this amount because the college provides good placement in such a low amount where you can see like other colleges taking 2 to 3 lacs per year. This college takes only 43000 per semester which means 86, 000 throughout the year which is the very feasible amount by a college with such infrastructure and placements so talking about the placement and the fee it's taking I prefer this college

Fees and Financial Aid

the only ascholarship or loan provided by the college is for ST SC student and the students who have 85% above in the 12th there is none other scholarship provided than this. They provide loan if you are financially weak. The loan provided by the college is through PNB Bank they only provide loan for educational amount not for hostel amount.

Campus Life

4

The lab have a very good infrastructure they have all the equipments in that and all the equipments are sufficient for the number of students holding they also have a central library other than each library in every block they also have a sports room. There DJ party for boys and girls the ratio hair of boys and girls is 3:1

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Talking about the hostels there are three types of hostels first is four seater second is 3 seater and the third one is two seater there is no single room in the hostel so the amount of 4 seater is 85000 per year 3 seater is 90000 2 seater is 1 lakh talking about the PG rates near by the PG rates are from 6000 to 8000 it varies from PG to PG the rooms are quite good of hostels and you will not find any problem in the rooms but there is a problem in food the food quality is not that good.you also get free gym and Wi-Fi in the same amount which you pay for the hostel there's nothing extra chargeable

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors here are very helpful they do not do ragging instead they provide you with the solutions if you have any doubt they also help you in their projects if you want. We have different different kinds of aluminis here. exam hai band highest packages in private companies samay joined armed forces air forces etc.

Admission

So basically first they ask me about my percentage in 12th and 10th and then they ask me the branch in which I want to pursue my course then there were some officials who personally guided me through the admission process they were very humble they provided me with the prospectus they also explain me which branch is good for me but although I prepared my mind for electronics and communication engineering so I choose that and further they guided me for the admission

Faculty

2

Faculty of the college is better but not that good as they have not that knowledge as most of the teacher teaches with notes. They have almost in our branch electronics 4 to 5 PhD teachers and other mtech teachers.simply provide you with notes at exam time and also teacher with notes but there are also some qualified teachers who are very knowledgeable

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
