Remarks

It lies on the outskirts of the city, so we don't have many facilities outside the campus. The campus is in a remote location where you are deprived of many facilities like food delivery but have zero pollution campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is designed for the overall development of students. With few compulsory courses, we get choice for multiple electives. The exam structure is 20+20+60 where 20 is for internals and 60 for the end semester exam. The first internal is written based, the second presentation or assignment based, and the end sem again written. For post-graduation students, last semester is about internship or dissertation which gives immense opportunity to students to choose their interest accordingly. Continuous labs and classes leave to a hectic schedule but give 2 days a weekend to enjoy as well.

Placement Experience

1.5

Yes universities do provide internship opportunities but not to everyone, few companies come and it depends on students who grab the opportunity. I did my internship at Indira Gandhi Institute of Research and Development with an overall stipend of 9000 for 45 days.

College Events

5

University organizes an annual day celebration where the yearly achievements of students are recognized and given prizes, which is the biggest function on campus including all departments. Inter department fest takes place once a year, each department organizes its own fest and different student bodies also take initiative and organizes programs according to students interest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is feasible since it is a central goverment university. The fee for normal courses is 6000 per semester and for professional courses is 12000 per semester. One year comprises 2 semesters.

Fees and Financial Aid

University itself do not provide any scholarship or loan but all scholarships provided by any state or central government can be availed and the same is the case of loan. Current students are availing various scholarships like single girl child scholarship, physically challenged scholarship and caste, minority-based scholarships as well.

Campus Life

3.5

University has infrastructure for extracurricular including various sports like basketball, baseball, badminton, football, cricket, taekwondo, boxing, etc. For other activities like dance, music, acting, etc various clubs are there including faculty and students. These clubs provide an environment for a student to nurture and excel in the field. University is diversified with students from all India and few students from abroad as well without any discrimination for any one of them. University campuses do not allow any religious activity inside the campus, only national festivals are celebrated on a mass scale.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are in sharing, for girls 3 per room and for boys 2 per room but hostels are good with balcony in each room and bed, mattress, chair, table, and Almirah are provided per student. Hostels are categorized based on graduation, post-graduation, and PhD. 3500 is the hostel fee per semester.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are always there to help and guide. Since the university was established in 2009, it doesn't have a very strong alumni network and I am a first batch student of my course so I do not have any seniors, in such cases faculties are extremely helpful in guiding you.

Admission

Admission happens via CUCET i.e central university common entrance test. This common exam is for 10 central universities, I preferred CURAJ as it provides experienced faculty, a spacious hostel facility, and unique courses. Once you clear the exam, you need to attend the counseling session and if selected pay the fee, and you are admitted to the university. I choose this campus because the course I am pursuing is only offered here in India.

Faculty

4.5

All the facilities are well educated and experienced. Permanent facilities are qualified till Ph.D. and more. All of them are quite interested in their course subjects as it's their area of specialization. At the end of each semester, each student has to give feedback on all the facilities that are taught in the class. On a feedback basis, next semester faculties are appointed.

For Master's students, they can start appearing for placement as soon as starting their 2nd Semester. There are lots of opportunities for students to grab a good placement. The average package for Master's can be 6-8LPA while the highest placement last year was 54LPA

Course Curriculum Overview:

- The course curriculum was specifically based on giving more knowledge and insights about the course I chose. I went onto specialization and chose microbiology and learnt that it has various other fields because of the curriculum. - The course and lab prepares well for the real-world applications. - There should have been more hands-on experience with some lab equipments and some teachers should have given more guidance to the students. - Frequency of exams and difficulty level was good. No complaints about that.
