Course Curriculum Overview
A key aspect of the physics curriculum that influenced my decision to pursue the subject is its blend of theoretical rigor and practical application. The curriculum often emphasizes fundamental principles, like classical mechanics, electromagnetism, and quantum theory. Additionally, the hands on experimental work which helps to solidify abstract concept and the opportunity for interdisciplinary learning where physics overlapse is mathematics computer science and engineering make it a versatile and intellectually simulating field. The curriculum is highly effective in in preparing students for both real world applications and further academic pursues like problem solving skills, mathematical rigoretc. According to me the course curriculum is absolutely perfect but it needs more teachers who can explain the phenomenon with more practical knowledge. Exams should be conducted within every two months with easy to moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
Students can apply for the internship and their respective department heads allow them for the internship. While some internships are offered by the university, you can also choose your desired internship and go there for the required number of days. There are various other projects for different courses and as the outcome you get a experience and a appreciation certificate.
Placement Experience
Students get placement in last year of there respective courses. There are several companies and they made a number of offers. The average package is of almost 3LPA. I have different plans after my degree I wish to study for civil services examinations.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am paying an amount of ?9000 yearly as my academic fee or tution fee. The registration fee was ?2000. The students of SC and ST get reservation and pay a lesser amount of fee than other students. There are several scholarships available especially for girls.
Campus Life
The annual sports and cultural meet is called SRIJAN which includes sports tournaments and cultural activities like dancing, drama, singing etc. Along with that other festivals like holi, diwali, jamasthmi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navaratri etc are also celebrated with great enthusiasm and energy. There is a central library located within the campus which includes a numerous books related to the syllabus of the students along with novels and many story books. The classrooms are well lighted and airy. Some classrooms also have projectors and some are smart classes. Sports activities here are also very well celebrated. There are grounds for hockey, cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis which are well maintained. Students also take participation in inter University games. There is also regular practices for games. There are many clubs for singing, dancing, writing, drama etc. which have a great impact on students life as they can join then for their interest.
Hostel Facilities
There are total 8 hostels in the university from which 4 are for boys and the remaining 4 are for girls. The rooms including fans, beds, almirah and are well lighted. Some of the rooms are also air conditioned. There are also appropriate number of charging points. The mess menu is already decided for the whole week and it is repeated. On special occasions we get special dinner. The food quality is good but its not perfect. Registration for hostel is very easy as when you get your documents verified you can go in the hostels and meet the caretaker or warden of the hostel and then they will allot the room according to the availability. The hostel fee is also affordable for most of the students. I never rented a room or PG. I'm reciding here in the hostel.
Admission
I applied to several other colleges like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Central University of Haryana, Central University of Himachal Pradesh etc. I got a confirmed admission in the Central University of Himachal Pradesh but due to its very large distance from my home and non availability of hostel I cancelled my admission from there and chose Central University of Rajasthan to pursue my further studies after 12th class. I got rejected from most of the universities of Delhi University and BHU due to my less grades in CUET exam and lesser number of seats in most of the universities. Students in my university are admitted through the CUET exam conducted every year after the 12th board examination. After you get a seat in the university there is no internal exam to confirm your seat you just have arrive on the when there is the document verification and then your seat gets confirmed. The cutoffs and eligibility is different for different courses.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 35:1. The relationship between faculty and students is really appreciable. Teachers are always ready to help. I personally like faculty of physics Prof. Kuldeep Suthar sir. His conversation skills and relation with students is great. There is no such faculty which I don't like. Everyone here is awesome. The number of exams in a semester is there which includes two internal exam and one end of semester examination which also includes the laboratory examination. Out of total 30% students fail to clear the exams.
