Remarks

The college has excellent results every year. In fact, the college is always among the top 5 private engineering colleges in Kerala. But the college is very strict to maintain their results. Also students don't have much freedom compared to government colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is almost similar to previous Kerala University syllabus but some major changes have been made in the curriculum. After the implementation of new curriculum, exams are conducted systematically. The course structure helps to have an immense practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of engineering. But the internal exams are held without any study leave in between so making the exam a hectic day for students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements and job opportunities are excellent in my college. A lot of reputed companies visit the college for recruitment and most of the eligible students are placed even before graduation. The college also provides internship but doesn't have any stipend.

College Events

3

The cultural and technical fest of Baselios, CROSSROADS is famous among the engineering colleges. Crossroads is conducted every year in April and a large numbers of students from various colleges participate in various competitions. It is conducted in 3 days, which is open to all graduate students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is 75,000 for each year, which is same for almost all private engineering colleges in Kerala. Although the fees is expensive compared to government college fees,it is worth the facilities provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship are offered to all merit students, who have performed well in 12th and entrance exam. Also 100% scholarship to all students whose parents have annual income below 2 lakhs. The college also helps to get an education loan.

Campus Life

4.5

The college encourages all sorts of extracurricular activities. Gender ratio is equal.Various clubs and events are there to make students interact each other. The college has achieved a lot in the field of sports and dance, especially in basketball.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni plays a major role in the growth of my college. Most of the alumni students have strong industrial connections, which help them to bring new companies into our campus each year. Thus, more number of excellent companies provide job to the current students.

Admission

I got 73.2 in 12th board exam.In April,I wrote the KEAM entrance exam and secured 350 marks in it. I applied to Mar Baselios college of engineering and technology with both these marks. The college made a merit list according to the marks obtained in 12th and KEAM exam. I was short listed in the list and was asked to appear for their management admission process. As the seats were less,I didn't get admitted in mechanical but I had a great passion towards automobiles. Hence I applied through government allotment and secured a seat in mechanical engineering.

Faculty

4

The faculties of my college are really experienced in their field. Students can approach the teachers at any time. They will always provide you proper guidance. Each subject have separate faculties, who have specialized in that subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
