Remarks

I think its the best college I could've got for the marks I managed to score. It has maximum positives and a small bit of negatives. The teaching is the best part of the college, their faculty members are quite a lot experienced and they can solve your difficulties with ease.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I feel the curriculum is good overall except for some outdated chapters and topics in some subjects. About the exam structure, here one year is divided into two semesters and in each semester you have three unit tests, 3 to 4 practical exams (internal and external) and end semester exams.

Placement Experience

4

The CS, IT based branches have higher placement ratio as compared to core branches. Alomst all the CS, IT students get placed in IT companies which is the best for them. And no Ramdeobaba College won't provide you with internships but they promote students to do internship and provides them with incentives.

College Events

4

There are quite a few events that are celebrated in the college some of which are Pratishruti (annual gathering) Prerna (NSS unit annual event) Entrix (technical week) Urja (installation program) Neev (freshers party) There is about 500 to 700 people participating in the events which makes the events fun.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is on the expensive side, its around 2 lacs for an open caste student. So if you are not rich then probably you might not want to take admission in this institute but I feel if you can avail any of the available scholarships then it could be a nice place to be.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees wavier scheme which makes the tuition fees of the college as zero and you only have to pay for the exam and other things only. Which reduces the fees from Rs.135000 to around Rs.20000. They also provide EBC for open category students.

Campus Life

4

They are promoted by the college to a good extent. They provide incentives to the students who have participated in such activities which makes the situation a win-win for the student. They provide free attendance to the students who are engaged in extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Its not worth the cost they charge you for a very small room with limited facilities which can be annoying at times but you'll get water and other basic facilities working well. The building is fine and doesn't seem to have any major issues and they paint it every year too.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are always helpful to their juniors atleast that's the case with me. I was blamed for certain things I didn't even commit in my class but the teachers thought that i was fooling them, at this time my seniors came to my rescue and saved from fake blame. They help you with studies and make college life fun with you.

Admission

I came through Maharashtra state level entrance exam called MHT-CET. I scored mere 94 marks in CET which closed other doors for me but fortunately Ramdeobaba College had hindi speaking minority quota which allowed me to get admission in this institute. You can also apply for admission through JEE score.

Faculty

4.5

Most of the faculty members are well educated to teach the subjects except for a few. They help you with your projects and things that you do as extracurricular activities. Most of them are pretty nice to approach outside the class as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mechanical engineering has been the most interesting and very formal subject from the starting of engineering schools. Also, my interest for automobiles, automoblie industries and mechanical subjects is the driving factor for me to opt this course. But, as the subjects has evolved, so not the curriculum. Core mechanics subjects like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechatronics comes in 2 nd and third year of curriculum which is very late. No changes in subjects and curriculum according to real industry. The curriculum is not up-to-date which rather waste the time of student inistead of learning new skills and skiils which are required in the market. Also the exams in the our college, has been the same like every other colleges. Viva, course projects , industry projects, and written exams. Curriculum needs a mojor boost like it need to add new subjects through which we can learn skills to be industry ready, in addition with the core subjects. Moving on to topic of exams, and overall the exams are easy to crack and the difficulty is medium. The good part of exams is that every subjects has its own course projects which require every set of skills. There are 4 course projects and 1 industry projects which require a lot of skills and in the process we learn many software likes solidworks ansys and cutocad like softwares.

Placements are usually pretty average of 7-10LPA and usually students with CGPA of 7-9 sit for the campus placements. I would say around 40% students get placed decently. If no campus placement, the course is so diverse that you can easily get jobs if you have the skills.
