Remarks
The College itself is good but there are many drawbacks. There is excessive drug abuse, the gentry of students is not that good , students are most of the time making out with their partners which itself objectifies women and creates a characterless environment for the teenagers and the new students
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is pretty well structured and good. I chose IT field because it was the course that I could get in my rank that matches my interests and also it includes many things in my interest like microcontrollers, coding, etc.I think they to get inspired from foreign universities and their online courses and include such things so students don't need to mess up with internet always for education. They also have biology for engineers which is a good thing to be a overall good engineer. They also have good amount of mathematics , physics and chemistry for the first year and then computer related topics like data structures , algorithms. python languages, microcontrollers, etc for the ahead years , which makes it a pretty good overall course.
College Events
The university hold many many events including MUNs , and workshops on any topic you can imagine. You just need to stay updated about whats happening in your College and around. It also has KIIT fest which is probably of three days and it is the biggest event of the year which brings on many 2-3 superstars on stage with many competitions of every fields. We have other events too which happens regularly and there is so much of it that you have to choose what is best for you and what is not.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is pretty expensive. It is 1.75 lakhs for one semester, only tution fees. The high fees is due to that 5 percent of the fees goes for KISS foundation for poor students which is a good thing. So the total course is for about 14 lakhs excluding hostel and all and it may increase year by year
Fees and Financial Aid
They offer scholarship for students who secure rank under 1000 in Kiit exam or to those who are having very good JEE main percentile. The scholarships after admissions depends on your CGPA so if you top in the university you will get a 60000 rupees scholarship for the next semester
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are very good as we are having international level sport facilities everywhere in the College. Some times it is not accessible to the common students but if you are really interested and want to play , you surely can.The gym and fitness centers also have everything like Swimming pool , games, etc which are paid on a monthly basis.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are good and fine. Many of them are rude and rural too because many students are rich and from rural areas so they are sort of into group fighting and all. The seniors sometimes do ragging and they can be punished for that if you report it to the police station or to a high level faculty. The alumni are very good and most of then are at very good positions in their lives in very good corporate companies
Admission
I gave on KIIT exam in my drop year and scored 6300 rank approx in my examination and hence cracked Information and Technology Branch in my College which is the second best branch. The admission happens by counselling process so I had to go to the College for the counselling and I had to pay 75000, rupees in which 65000 was for laptop and 10000 for counselling. The 10000 were not refundable if we don't take admission in the College in the coming months, rest was refundable. We arrived in the College 3 days before the starting of session, we were allotted our hostels, daily needs like buckets , mugs and then we had a College tour, university orientation, and all those stuff and then the classes started from 6th of July
Faculty
The faculties here are not at all bad. They are good, but only some of them. Either they are so good or pretty casual and bad as in they have knowledge but don't know how to teach and make it understandable for the students but literally some are just so nice that can teach you Einstein level of physics. For computer programming and science only one or two teachers are good rest are pretty ordinary so you do have to pursue online courses or youtube tutorials for skilled level of programming that will get you good placements. Coming to the curriculum and the syllabus , It is pretty varied you have study everything of a stepped up level from 12th in first year, even biology for engineers for 6 months to strengthen your basics for every aspect of education. The subjects also includes professional communication and EVS. Maths , physics , chemistry are obviously there. From the second year the course varies according to the branch you have chosen but for CSE and IT ,it is generally coding and stuff related to computers. Though you can always pursue your interests at the College due to the diversity of oppurtunities here.
