Tier 1 college Has to be good in every aspect, Be it on the field of research or management.

I got a rank of 4k which was sufficient for getting economics as a branch in this prestigious college. Apart from the course, this college gives you an immense amout of exposure in whichever field you wish for.

Course Curriculum Overview

IIT Kgp has the most diverse education pattern, starting from engineering to MBA and LAW. Being a tier 1 college, the faculty here has immense amount of knowledge.

Placement Experience

The average packages are pretty high in the non core jobs like finance and banking. Software and chip making companies mainly take CSE and ECE students.

Remarks:

Clg Review

Since I was interested in getting into an IIT from class 11, and IIT KGP was the only college that gave the best branch to college ratio among all other IITs that I was eligible for based off my rank. The admission process for my college for B.TECH involves JOSAA, a counselling system for all government engineering colleges in India where the eligibility criteria is based off JEE ADVANCED rank. Since you can only select one college through JOSAA, the only one i selected was this as this was the only one I was alotted based off my rank. The cutoff for my college is around 12000 for General Male and 20000 for General Female. This increases for other categories like SC ST OBC etc....Read More
