YCCE, BE, Mechanical Engineering

Remarks

My College was the best College as per me. Whether it is the infrastructure, the faculty or the location, everything was upto the mark. One thing I forgot to mention, the College library was very much resourceful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, those days were a bit hectic. There used to be too many exams, practicals and workshops etc. The course focused mainly on the practical knowledge. Almost all the machinery was there in the syllabus.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement part was not so good as recession had hit India by then. But we were lucky that 10 to 12 core companies came for the recruitment process. There was nothing like internship then when I was at College.

College Events

4

Yash was the main event of our College or you can say, is the pride of YCCE. More than 200 events used to be organised ranging from cultural to technical. It used to be organised in January every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of the course was upto the mark. We paid Seventy thousand (? 70,000)/year approx for four years. For any technical course this much fees is expected. And with all their infrastructure the fees was very much justifiable.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students belonging to SC/ST categories used to pay zero tuition fees. Their fees were waived off. All major banks were giving the loan facilities. The College used to provide us all the paperwork needed for the loan.

Campus Life

4.5

There was no gender discrimination. All sports were played from cricket to football and from basketball to hand ball. All major sports were played. Girls used to participate actively in all the sports.

Hostel Facilities

4

I opted for private stay. I rented a private duplex 3bhk for which I was paying 4000 with three other College mates. The rent used to depend on the area where you are staying. Our place was close to College.

Alumni/Alumna

Our College has a great alumni network. We all meet up once every three years or so. Most of the alumni remain in contact and work for the betterment of our College. Alumni sometimes brings recruiters with them, which is very helpful.

Admission

From childhood only I was fascinated about machines and thier working. So, in school only I decided that I'll become a mechanical engineer. And as far as choosing the College is concerned, it was one of the best College to study mechanical engineering.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculties were highly qualified and enthusiastic to teach us. They were available 24x7 for us. Their knowledge is something that we admire even today. They were very much interested in teaching us even on Sundays.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
