Remarks

Well, If you are looking for a carrier in Journalism and Mass communication or other media-related fields, you are at the right place. Providing practical experience in the field of media and all other opportunities, IAAN stands upfront in the Industry. I have mainly mentioned divisions, these are the backbone of the course, bucking you up for the Industry. And above all, The Student-Faculty-management relation in the college is way more than 5-Star

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Well, this is what is amazing about our college, with an experienced faculty on the theoretical courses, the prime focus remains on Practical and industrial knowledge, Apart from Studio Visits and other Industry visits, the college operates a newspaper, WEB TV Channel, WEB Radio and a Production house to give and get the best of its students.

Placement Experience

4.5

IAAN has tie-ups and connections in almost every sector of the Media Industry. The college provides opportunities for Internships in the reputed organizations of the Industry. Not only this, but the management also extends its total support and effort to get its students placed across the industry with a sound package.

College Events

5

IAAN Regularly hosts, organizes and Partners in Large scale events related to the industry, and does not take a back when it comes to the entertainment of its students. A tour is organized every year to take an off from the tiring schedule and the pollution of Delhi. In House events include festival celebrations, MD's Dinner (For the toppers though) Division parties, Freshers and Farewell are the most memorable ones. and a never-ending list goes on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee charged for the course is pretty feasible and justified, The college offers different modes of payment Quarterly, Half-yearly and one can opt what is feasible for him/her. And any payment mode, (Card payment, Cash, Cheque, online transfers) making it hassle-free for the students. There are no hidden charges, but for Tour, you go, if you pay, this is another positive, not interested, don't go, no wastage of money.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan, but the college in its own frame provides a scholarship program, also if you have and other scholarship (External) the management assists you totally,

Campus Life

4

The college campus life is pretty happening, the college is situated in the national capital territory, the question of being boring does not arise. The ladies-gentlemen ratio remains almost 1-1, no religious or regional discrimination is tolerated as the family houses students from all over the country and even some foreigners. The Divisions (Paper, TV, Radio, and Productions) are chosen as a team and make sure everyone gives out the best. The management makes sure it has all the students running, hence makes the weak ones run handheld with them. Diverse categories of students play an important role to keep the IAAN Culture alive.

Alumni/Alumna

With the college alumni placed in reputed industrial organizations, IAAN has a strong alumni network not only in India but abroad as well. Laying a helping network for the upcoming IAANinas.

Admission

The Admission process starts by filing an online query at www.iaan.org; followed by a call from the college for a slot of an Interview session. The interview session is based primarily on General knowledge and daily life experience and in mainly an introduction to the Field of Journalism and Media. Which is then followed by the deceleration of results. This whole process starts in the month of March-April and lasts rill the classes are started, in Mid of August

Faculty

5

The college has an experienced faculty who themselves belong to, or have been known part of the Media Industry. Every faculty, being experienced, has the tact of delivering what a pupil needs and that too in a cheerful way, creating a very friendly and family-like environment in the college. The college, on regular basis, holds "MD's Meet" wherein all the faculty, management and students have got together and discussed upon any issues in the college, hence reducing the Communication gap among all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and may be seen as average in aspect of my college . I selected my course as I saw myself holding potential in the field of language , English was my strong interest. The curriculum prepares a basic and needed knowledge for everyone accordingly and yes , it may be seen as an important aspect in higher education, experiences from professors and teachers is shared by live demonstrations and examples in order to achieve a good understanding. The improvement in the curriculum may be that of a much regular based classes as there is a frequent cut in classes and sometimes some teachers may slack during the day cancelling classes and stuff . The frequency of exams and timings are arranged and not much complicated related to my course and difficulty may be considered moderate .
