My MBA Journey

Course structure was pretty good and I was satisfied with it. We were given a lot of assignments that were to be submitted on time. A mandatory internship was also part of our curriculum and in the final year, we were supposed to submit a dissertation. While most of the teaching was from the perspective of the media industry, like media laws, advertising, strategic management, etc.

Placements were not so good in our college and almost 60% of our batch got placed. We received enough assistance from the placement cell. Some good companies do visit our campus for the placement drive but the packages offered were not that good. Some of my batchmates were offered 20,000 per month.

Endless conferences and seminars were organized at our University. Guest lectures were also delivered by some of the esteemed scholars of the industry. I attended some of these workshops, out of which some were useful for us, while some were not depending upon your area of interest.

My annual fee was 20k which is pretty nominal and less than other management colleges. In total, I paid 40k for the two-year program. Other expenses were also pretty affordable. University also awards the meritorious students.

Hostels are available for both girls and boys. In general, the hostels are good, with pretty comprehensive facilities being offered here. Washrooms are hygienic and the common room had the option of many recreational activities.

Alumni meet is organized for providing a platform for alumni and college students to interact, share experiences and thoughts. The alumni meet during my batch was pretty good and all the alumni tried motivating students especially towards entrepreneurship by enlisting the benefits of start-up culture and sharing their success stories.

Admission to the college is on a merit basis. I gave the entrance exam. Students have to apply to the college and appear for the counseling and document verification process. Management was pretty accommodating throughout the process.
