My masters from Kushabhau Vishwavidyalaya

Every semester we had to study 7 subjects in total. For the first two sem. the subjects were predefined, while from second semester the curriculum bifurcated into core subjects and elective subjects. We studied a wide variety of topics like accounting, branding, managerial economics, organisational behaviour. The curriculum was a bit exhausting.

Around 70% of the students got placed during my batch. We had a dedicated placement cell which took care of maintaining tie-ups with the big media firms. Though the packages offered were not as good as one would expect after an MBA degree.

During my batch, our fee was a mere 20k. It was pretty much feasible for me. The entire university is very cost-efficient and allow the students from a financially weaker background to pursue their dreams of higher education. Consequently, the entrance exam and the competition was pretty stiff for the program.

University awards students who excel in the academics like batch toppers of a semester. Usually they are awarded during the annual day. Apart form that fee relaxation is offered to the students who belongs from a reserved category or backward category.

Both indoors and outdoor sports activities are vividly appreciated. University provides sports gear for different sports. In total, the facilities provided by the college includes the a large sports complex, an auditorium, digital computer labs, and many more facilities. Cultural diversity is very much visible in the university, as there are students from different backgrounds in our University.

I appeared for the entrance exam organised by the University itself. The entrance exam was very tricky and had questions from various topics. On the basis of entrance scores and academic record of the applicants, a merit list is prepared and shortlisted students are invited for the counselling round.

I shared a deep bond with my faculty. I would share my opinions and they would instruct us how to be more innovative and creative. They all had a great deal of experience and they would even assist us during our industry visits. We learned lot of new things from them. They even provided us with class notes.
