Remarks

Positive:- Teachers are very helpful. Mess food quality is good as compared to other colleges mess food. College administration is very good and students are prone to get good marks because of autonomous college. Negetive:-college is a bit far away from the main city. Transportation problem is always the main issue if you stay here. Hostels are closed after 10pm for boys and after 9:30pm for girls.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is basically learning based and less research based. The time table does not allow you a lot of free time to your self (for 1st years). From 2nd year the time table is quite chilled. The exams here occur very frequently, we have 3 mid sem exams out of which best of 2 is taken. Then a semester end examination happens for each sem. Scoring is easy as compared to the VTU colleges.

Placement Experience

4

The average placement packages offered in our college is 4 lpa and highest packages goes to 25 lpa. Our college does provide internships for 3ed year students with a average stipend of 10000 per month, but the recruitment numbers for internships are very less. The guys who are really good, they only get an internship opportunity by the college.

College Events

3

There are 3 techfest organised every year and they are implemented on a large scale. People from different colleges and different cities also come here to participate. Coming to cultural stuff it organises festivals like ethnic day, branch fests and the most awaited college fest named Anaadyanta which is implemented on a very large scale. On 2017 Anaadyanta the great singer Benny Dayal was invited. On 2018 Neha Kakkar was invited. On 2019 Sunidhi Chauhan was invited post which there always a DJ night for which international DJ's are invited and this fest goes on for 4 days in the month of march. The fest itself provides all types of cultural and technical festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The academic fees for 1 year is 170000, The hostel fees is 65000 for the year including electricity. Talking about the mess charges it varies, because a bill is generated every month which you have to pay, and is approximately 2000/month.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are the government scholarships by which you can get waiver, but college does not provide any personal scholarships. Talking about loans our college has a tieup with Axis Bank which can provide you with study loan.

Campus Life

3

Our college has a numerous clubs to join like Art club, Adventure club, Goonj, Rotary club, Dance club, NCC(one of the most reputed college for NCC),NSS, technical club and also a fashion club to join. In these clubs any one can join regardless of their sex or religion. People are there from India, Nepal and Nigeria. Boy to girl ratio is 5:2.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels for first years are 2 sharing and after 1st year student has the choice for opting for either 4 sharing or 2 sharing among the 4 boys hostel. Girls hostel are 2 in number and both of them are 2 sharing. The cost of hostel is same weather you stay in 2 sharing or 4 sharing. Hostels provide vending machine for late night food supply and have separate geaser in every bathrooms. The hostel gate closes at 10 pm night and opens at 4 am morning.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are quite helpful and are always ready to help us in any possible way. Because of them only I have been able to get some projects on which I am currently working. For the first years it would be very helpful to interact with the seniors and get to understand the know how's of the college and the city as well.

Admission

I got admission here through, Comedk entrance exam which is held by karnataka government every year for many colleges, one should acquire atleast 6000 or less rank to get into CSE department and 9000 or less for ISE department. Once you clear the exam then you have been given a slot(date) when you have to bring all your documents to a specified place for admission, after which your admission pro ess is seen forward in college by the administration staff. They take all your useful details and feed into their systems when you have to submit your 10th and 12th marks card and the previous school's TC certificate, which you can get back after 2nd year. Although you can take it back whenever you need it before 2nd year by submitting a letter for that. Then you have to again submit it to the college when you are done with the work of your certificate.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties here are here very highly qualified and friendly and mainly focuses on the understanding of the student rather than marks oriented. Faculties are very helpful and are always ready to help students academically or project wise.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
