Remarks

There are some higher faculty members who have bad attitude and behaviour towards students and hostels are late in responding as well. The decision making and problem solving takes too much time. They should improve that.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There are very large number of labs here and the exams are taken in very strict and silent places. But there is just one problem that is the grading system. There is relative grading in this university.

Placement Experience

3

Palcements here are just great oppertunities, the students should study hard and get in every placement drive and try hard, those companies will provide internship but maximum companies does provide stipend during internship but some donot.

College Events

4

Events are the greatest things in this university, the enjoyment is great, every year there are lots of programs and a great number of celebrities are coming and performing in the programs. There are night parties organized by students too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was great before last 2 years but after that it is just too expensive. I have given hostel fees 75000 rupees in 2016 and the students coming in 2020 are giving around 1 lakh rupees. But the hostels are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think loan facility they provide is with SBI. There are other facility also to pay half the fees and half later. And there is test for scholarship in which scholarship is from 50% to 100%.Students can get discount through this entrance test.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities are also great, there are gym and sports complex and grounds for cricket and baseketball court is there as well as badminton and almost everything is there, there are 8 ball pool tables too in CU.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There are lots of hostels in campus but chandigarh University had provided a city hostel and iam living in that, its just like you have bought new flat and the infrastructure is just great in both campus and outside hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors interact with juniors in the seminar hall and they tell students about there journey from admission to placements, the interaction is great and they motivate the students to study hard and enjoy being in extracurricular activities.

Admission

This university is best known for cse placements and as i had interest in computers, so decided to take admission just by filling admission form. There was no entrance exam but the sectioning of students were according to there 12th marks.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is very educated but not all are good in teaching. Some have a bad behaviour and some are just exellent. I am in 4th year but didnot had any bad experience with the teachers, but i think behaviour of students changes the mood of teachers.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies. This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.
